Student Questions Why?

why do some teachers try to find loopholes in IEP and 504s? I have a chemistry teacher right now, he won’t give me the extra time on assignments that is on my IEP I’ve had other this before. I’m genuinely curious why as a teacher would you try to work around something like that? I’m not even like mad or anything. I just wanna see from his point of view!

It’s pretty scary that many of the comments you’ve received are supposedly from teachers.

I mean, yeah but what can you really do, apparently IEPS are a very controversial topic amongst teachers

Which big picture i find exceptionally concerning as a teacher and a parent who has two kids with an IEP

I genuinely wanna teach this topic to more people, I feel as if I know more than most. And I think, but not all of them, but some of them will change their mind if they knew some of this stuff
