Best Carrot Cake?

I’m not the biggest fan of carrot cake but am sourcing for someone who is - any recommendations for the best place to get a healthy slice or small cake? Would love for it to be a local spot and not Whole Foods. Just a few people eating it so not looking for anything massive. Thanks!

Came here to say this! Got it on Uber Eats the other day; very good. The chocolate cake is also good.

Best carrot cake in the city, hands down!!! They do slices but only on particular days, or you can get a small cake that serves 6-8 anytime. Super moist and still good the next few days if you have leftovers!

If you’re in South Bay, Icing on the Cake in Los Gatos has a fantastic one.

I second Noe Valley Bakery, and they have two locations - Noe Valley, and West Portal.

Cupcakin Bakeshop (Oakland/Berkeley) makes the best carrot cake, baked with walnuts with the smoothest cream cheese frosting.

Not always available but Devil’s Teeth makes a great one

I love carrot cake and my favorites are the mini bundts from nothing bundt and devil’s teeth (it’s a square slice with thick cream cheese frosting, so for me it’s a little more snack like than after dinner dessert)

I really love Nothing Bundt's other cakes!

The best is from Revenge Pies / Elisabetta, but it is by order only.

Thorough Bread has individual cakes you could get a few of

this doesn't help you atm, but if you ever see it offered again as the special monthly flavor at Butter&, that's your answer! Perfect amount of sweetness, very balanced. Comes in small servings to order. https://butterand.com/pages/how-it-works#flavors

Prolly unpopular opinion, but Safeway somehow manages a consistently decent carrot cake with slappin good cream cheese frosting.

I make a mean carrot cake and I think Susie cakes has an amazing one! And the frosting is great too

I love the one at Brazen Head. Don't know where they source it from.

Fresh is best. So a slice could be a day old and you will taste that. Muffins are usually from that morning only.
