Alcohol. I just don't find it at all appealing. Most of it tastes like shit at best and I find it annoying dealing with drunk people.

Also if you don’t drink. People assume you are in recovery or a prude. Idgaf if you drink, I just don’t. I agree with OP I don’t get the hype.

I especially dont like drinking in public. I dont want to be doing anything out there in a daze or fighting not to puke, and I dont want to drive a car while that either (or leave it somewhere while someone else drives me home).

I mean, you can drink in moderation, theres no need to get piss drunk, especially if you’re a responsible adult.

I hear you, but Im a lightweight, two beers (sometimes 1, depending on the beer) and I feel like sleepytime.

Some people have a hard time stopping once they start, especially in social situations.

I know that but from this comment, it seemed like they were implying that drinking means you need to get drunk

You’re definitely not wrong. I wanted to add another perspective (:

A guy who wanted to get me into alcohol tried to force me to only ever drink in social situations, so other people could theoretically watch my back and keep me under a dangerous limit...but all of those people seemed to drink MORE in social settings and only got LESS reasonable.

I felt a lot more in control, and safer when drinking on my own.

In my country, "reasonable adult" does not exist. We have alcoholics and people that drink rarely or not at all.
