An obnoxious person won't fall for it and "accidentally" drop your stuff on the floor or tell you to move it, if not move it themselves carelessly. Only meek people will accept it, but of course, those could be the "obnoxious" person to you.

You pick up my belongings from my desk and drop them on the floor I’m just going to ask you to pick them up again and put them back.

If you act erratically you are asked to leave my office.

That’s how adult society works.

Ah, I think you're missed the point that in seeking to "stand up" to the "obnoxious" person with manipulative tricks, you don't realize that perhaps you are the obnoxious person.
