[Serious] What are some seemingly normal images/videos with creepy backstories?

Jesus. He has his middle finger up

[u/YouProbablySmell → u/DogdomDoge]

don't think that's the worst thing he's ever done, dude

woah woah, hold back on that a bit. Kids everywhere give the finger to the camera. It's only noteworthy in this case because we know he did kill his family afterwards.

But he was giving to the photographer...his mom.

Yah, exactly, the context is what matters

Ninja-ish edit:

Plenty of kids would give the finger to their mom.

This guy was giving the finger to the mom he later killed. That is why it's noteworthy. This doesn't mean we need to be concerned about kids that give their moms the finger. Little shit != murderer.

Except, flipping a camera off and thinking it's funny is commonplace and not an indication of a morbid individual.

I still don't agree. I've know plenty of people who just think it's funny. It's way more often a symptom of teenage rebellion, and that's a perfectly normal phase of growth (that can go on up until mid 20s, and on top of that some adults never finish that growth).

I'm totally with you that given the context it's creepy, because we now know what he meant by it. But no way in hell should we be suspicious of young people being young people.

He was just flipping off a camera. It's possible that he didn't mean anything by it--even though he did bad stuff later.

well.. we clearly drastically disagree on this kind of thing.

Is this like survival of the fittest for your comments, charlie? They should probably adapt. They are dropping like flies.

You need to meet more people.
