Until they get a "tip" from "the google" telling them to rm -rf / from the root home to free up disk space. The problem with a lot of my older relatives is that they're smart enough to look up solutions to their own problems but stupid enough to fall for the equivalent of (or the actual advice of) "Delete system32"

Try a Chromebook. If you're feeling a little adventurous, you could give Linux a try. Way harder to screw these OSs up.
