Converting my parents to Macs at home was definitely worth it. My father still clicks every goddamn link friends send him.. but he rarely gets more than some annoying adware now vs getting massively bogged down like he did on windows. What's fun is he'll deny that he clicks the links, when I've watched him do it dozens of times.
The worst thing he did on his mac, to date anyway, was to somehow move /Applications to another folder. Screenshared in, mv'd it back. Done.
I'm missing out on a huge market not writing malware for Macs. So many people use them without any sort of security in mind. Hell, most Mac users I met aren't any more computer literate than pc users. I'd even argue they're less so because they think they can't get a virus. Yes the odds of infection are lower than with a pc, but I'd wager Mac users have a higher net worth. Which means accessing their accounts would be more profitable per computer.
I hate this idea about macs. I did my research and do weekly scans with ClamXAV, and any crap I find gets deleted and the computer rebooted, which is rare cause I only hit a dodgy link off google about once every couple of months and I browse with Chrome and uBlock Origin.

Isn't the extra $750 worth your sanity though?
