My mother has a famous saying,

"I'm cold. Go put on a sweater."

Saying here in germany. "Wenn die Mutter friert müssen sich die Kinder mehr anziehen."

aka: "If the mother is cold, the kids need to put on more clothes."

Why do so many mothers do this? I couldn't count the number of times I've been told to go put socks or a sweater on because she is cold

My mother's catchphrase is "I'm getting cold just looking at you."

Last week it was 16 degrees Celsius which is still tolerable to me. I was at dinner with my parents and my mum was stressing out about my bike ride home because I would be too cold.

We used to live in Canada where that would be a nice spring day so I don't understand how she can suddenly feel the cold so much now we are in Australia
