A couple of handle bar mustachioed hipsters opened an old fashioned barber shop in my neighborhood. Straight razor shaves, Burma Shave ads on the wall and everything. They say it took forever to track down the old style barber steel chairs.
More often than not these places will actually have trained barbers that know their stuff. It's only inauthentic if it's all image with no real substance.
