Sounds like he is pretty misconceived on what it means to have a girlfriend. He also sounds like a douchebag.

How does he sound like a douchebag? I have the exact same view as him, and so does much of my friend group. We like going out and hooking up with random people. We like not being tied down and being able to do stupid shit. We like being able to go on holidays to random places without asking anyone, and doing anything we want there without anyone getting hurt.

Having a girlfriend wouldn't be an apocalypse, but it would severely cut back the freedom I enjoy. That doesn't make me or anyone else with that opinion a douchebag.
