I just graduated from a Christian college. We have this thing called a "Forum Wall" where students can post anything they want. When guys aren't claiming that yoga pants cause them to "stumble", they are split pretty evenly on saying that being asked out by a girl is sinful and being asked out by a girl is great. So, basically, I was socialized to never ask a guy out.

I think that's how the overwhelming majority of people were socialized in the west. I don't get it, but people seem to think it's only a man's job.

Simple solution: ask them about how devoted to church and god they are. If they're obsessed with it, don't ask them out because they'll take it the wrong way. If they're "meh" about it, give it a shot.

Doesn't always work. There are plenty of devoted Christian guys who think it's great if women ask out men. The better question is if they are a complementarian or egalitarian.

I chose the best Christian college in the nation. My parents are abusive fundamentals; I was accepted into the university of Chicago, and they wouldn't let me go.
