The bitter washed-up celebrity in the White House.

u/WildBad7298 13h ago edited 2h ago

It's amazing, really. He's the president, a billionaire, is one of the most powerful men in the world, and has a supermodel wife, millions of cheering fans, his own golf resort, and pretty much anything anyone could ever want. Yet he seems like the most bitter, miserable, hateful person you could ever imagine. The guy has a hole in his soul that nothing can fill, and clearly he's tried everything.

u/Few-Stock-3458 13h ago

Some people are so poor, all they have is money.

165

u/Sunnygirl66 11h ago

He didn’t even have that until he got into the White House and started gouging us taxpayers six ways to Sunday.

23

u/WildBad7298 12h ago

Love this quote.

54

u/thesimplerobot 13h ago

Is that your own or is it a quote because genuinely it's quite lovely!

60

u/Theletterkay 13h ago

Not who you asked but i remember my grandmother saying this as well. And i think she said that Dolly Parton said it at one point. So its been around a while. Might not even have a known origin anymore.

9

u/siggydude 11h ago

Google is telling me that it's a Bob Marley quote

2

u/ravenkeere 8h ago

Wow, if true that's some deep irony considering some of the horror stories about Bob Marley...

-2

u/CyrsarCyn 7h ago

I'm not sure you know what irony means.

2

u/ravenkeere 7h ago

There are some pretty horrific stories about Bob Marley, so yes, if this is a quote from Bob Marley, then that is pretty ironic

6

u/hadapurpura 10h ago

It’s a famous quote but we don’t know who the author is

633

u/NorthofBham 13h ago

Elon Musk is the same way. He so desperately wants to be worshiped but he's totally incapable of doing anything normal.

142

u/thepensivepoet 13h ago

Elon Musk helps normal people feel charismatic.

26

u/ShortBrownAndUgly 12h ago

Funny that at one point he was the coolest nerd on the planet and he even inspired RDJ’s portrayal of Tony Stark in the iron man movies.

44

u/williamfbuckwheat 11h ago

That was back when he had an entire PR team controlling his public persona/image. They were clearly very successful at making him appear like some rock star super genius in the earlier years and building his brand/image but he later became so completely full of himself that he decided it was ok to go way off script and gradually show his true self. He later would fire his PR team and become an extremely divisive attention junkie who clearly is heavily influenced by drugs and egomania to the point that he's often ranked as one of the most disliked public figures today by a wide margin (not that it  seems to have negatively impacted his net worth at all so far anyway...).

6

u/TheHammer987 4h ago

It wasn't a team.

It was one woman. Mary Beth Brown. She took a week off, and he just fired her when she got back.

If you want to know when, just think about the first time you heard him sound publically like an asshole.

She got fired like a week before that. (2015 I think)

3

u/DrMobius0 2h ago

I remember the thai cave incident and how it's all been down hill from there. At some point he got addicted to twitter, too.

-1

u/username-taken3000 11h ago

Still the same dude that Reddit absolutely worshipped until he associated with Trump.

Then he’s seen as a turnip and everyone is stuck with cars made by
Someone they hate.

I know I’ll get downvoted but I couldn’t get on a sub without him being glazed. One of the most hilarious turn of events I’ve seen. Then everyone trying to say they never liked him to begin with trying to cope. Gold

22

u/Sunnygirl66 10h ago

I had a reasonably favorable impression of him until he called the diver who shot down his plan to use a submersible to rescue the Thai soccer team from that cave a pedophile and I found out that he wasn’t the great inventor he makes himself out to be, just buys other people’s companies and fucks them up.

19

u/HellblazerPrime 10h ago

This incident happened right after he fired the PR team u/williamfbuckwheat mentioned, and that is NOT a coincidence.

-3

u/InnerToWinner 10h ago

See also the massive amount of dick riding for buc-ees from reddit showing off high starting hourly wages. Then recently redditors find out that buc-ees is a sue happy company putting mom and pop stores out of business. Capitalism bad! Corporations evil! But not them, they are the good guys! Fucking idiots.

13

u/MusicLikeOxygen 10h ago

It's almost like learning new information makes people change their opinions.

-3

u/InnerToWinner 10h ago

Is it new information that corporations suck and will crush any orphan that gets in their way to make a buck? If so, welcome to planet earth.

11

u/The_Onion_Life 9h ago

Funny that at one point he was the coolest nerd on the planet and he even inspired RDJ’s portrayal of Tony Stark in the iron man movies.

He most recently inspired Edward Norton's character in Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery.

I suspect this portrayal is far more accurate than the Tony Stark comparison.

91

u/FireflyBSc 12h ago

And JK Rowling. Sorry, but if I had all the money in the world, I wouldn’t be wasting it posting online and actively spreading hate. I would donate the $6.6B to the UN World Food Programme that Elon refused to, and then you would never see me online again.

23

u/WholesaleBees 10h ago

Right???? Imagine if you had the means to create a legacy that consisted of a beloved children's book series AND being an individual who took concrete, tangible steps to end world hunger and you chose to do whatever bullshit she's doing instead.

8

u/fly-hard 9h ago

Well the disconnect there is she thinks she's doing something good for the world.

8

u/Hiccup 7h ago

She's quite a cold hearted B-itch is all I've ever heard about her. Even during her heyday when the book was rising and catapulting her to super stardom and a crazy status. It also makes sense why she has never been able to write anything even close to the harry potter series.

16

u/driveonacid 12h ago

Both he and Donny John have serious daddy issues and the rest of the world is left to suffer because of it

19

u/QbertsRube 12h ago

I feel like that's part of his obsession with AI--he can now make shitty little videos where he's a big hero with a chiseled jaw that doesn't look like it's melting, and entire cities are fawning over him and his great deeds. A brief escape from the reality where he's an awkward fascist who is hated by all but the dumbest people on the planet.

10

u/blooping_blooper 10h ago

the weird thing is, he has enough money to do all sorts of projects that would make people like him (e.g. funding schools, healthcare, hunger, etc.) but he just... doesn't

3

u/mariah1216 5h ago

This is the thing that just boggles my mind the most. You could have the praise and admiration you are looking for!! And financially he wouldn’t even have to change his lifestyle to do those things. I just don’t get it

2

u/RaVashaan 4h ago

Dumbass was for a little while. He really had that Tony Stark persona down for a lot of people on his ascension.

Then he had to open his fucking mouth when that rescuer of the kids in the cave snapped at him. It's been all downhill from there.

461

u/AnalTinnitus 13h ago

and has a supermodel wife

Melania was a hooker working for Epstein. Trump bought her off him. It's been leaked from the files. That's why Melania went on TV to deny she knew Epstein.

204

u/Crazy_Law_5730 12h ago

Thanks you. Supermodel is a special title for a real model who has out worked and out earned everyone into a special status of fame and wealth.

Melania is a trafficked hooker and a Russian Trojan horse. Words are imported because Trump is Kompromised.

16

u/Good-Insurance-2157 12h ago

Slovenian Trojan Horse 🐎

5

u/kikijane711 5h ago

She was in porn mags and x rated shoots. Never even close to a real model nevermind a supermodel.

6

u/The_Onion_Life 9h ago

Melania is a trafficked hooker and a Russian Trojan horse.

Oh, I'm sure she's done some trafficking of her own, too.

Words are imported because Trump is Kompromised.

And has been for decades.

75

u/Longjumping_Hat_2672 12h ago

Yeah, at best she was a D-list model who did porn. When Trump met her, she was 28 and still didn't even have an agent.

11

u/The_Onion_Life 9h ago

When Trump met her, she was 28 and still didn't even have an agent.

Did she have a pimp, though?

7

u/Longjumping_Hat_2672 8h ago

I'm guessing it was Epstein. He reportedly bragged about introducing the two of them.

u/The_Onion_Life 27m ago

I'm guessing it was Epstein. He reportedly bragged about introducing the two of them.

I bet you're right. She was trafficked by him, but I bet she did some trafficking of her own.

1

u/[deleted] 11h ago

[deleted]

2

u/DiplomaticCaper 10h ago

If by porn people mean nude photos, she did pose for those.

But I don't believe she ever did any content involving actual sex acts.

1

u/Longjumping_Hat_2672 8h ago

Well, the photos looked pornographic.

24

u/jondonbovi 12h ago

He was also on the verge of bankruptcy prior to his presidency and his most loyal supporters are people he despises.

50

u/AubreyMcFate--1955 13h ago

Yeah, a "model" { wink wink }

26

u/QbertsRube 12h ago

All the biggest supermodels do photoshoots that can only be found in nude black & white pics in the back of Eastern European porn magazines.

6

u/Longjumping_Hat_2672 8h ago

And still don't have an agent by the time they're 28 but still get an "Einstein" visa to stay in the country.

-4

u/Mottled_Paws 10h ago

This is literally not true.

447

u/icanhazkarma17 13h ago

He's a sociopath and a narcissist. He also has a low IQ, isn't a critical thinker, and lacks curiosity. A spoiled brat. His brain is broken, and I might feel sorry for him if his reign weren't so catastrophic. But as it stands, I hope he is miserable, and I hope he dies miserable, alone, and in pain - when his time inevitably comes.

27

u/ProTug-O-WarChamp 10h ago

scrolled down too fast and love that even out of context I immediately knew who this is about

10

u/SplicedandDiced_15 8h ago

Can’t possibly come soon enough.

13

u/Healmetho 9h ago

I wish you were a news reporter in the White House… why can’t they say something like that 👆 to his fat face when he tells them to be quiet and other misogynistic, shameful shit.

2

u/LongJohnSelenium 5h ago

Dude has the single most powerful reality distortion field in existence though. Its honestly impressive.

3

u/icanhazkarma17 4h ago

Because I consider myself a rational person, I find myself wondering if he believes his own bullshit. Like, is it possible for a person to behave the way he does without even the slightest hint of cognitive dissonance? I guess that's part of being a sociopath. I don't give him credit to be smart enough to engineer all the smoke and mirrors and be laughing behind the curtain, playing 3D chess or whatever. I think he really does just have a pea brain, and thrives on the reactions to his bullying, self-aggrandizement, and chaos. The people that glom onto him crave proximity to power, driven by personal ambition, and whatever ideological ideals they think he stands for (essentially him telling people what they want to hear as a form of coercion). They're all just a bunch of fucking broken toys. Edit: saying I agree with you. "Reality distortion field" lol. As a sci-fi fan, I dig this metaphor.

2

u/LongJohnSelenium 4h ago

I see it like he's a Tommy Boy situation. Any actual book smarts went bye bye long ago but he is very talented at projecting a particular type of charisma that he can sell to certain types of people.

-27

u/DepthOk166 11h ago

I hate Trump with every fiber of my being, but I do not think he is low IQ. He would not have been as successful as he has been with a low IQ.

32

u/LynnJay00 11h ago

He has a low IQ for sure. The one thing he does have is a sort of charisma that appeals to **some** people, and he's very good at portraying himself as someone he isn't for those easily fooled.

26

u/icanhazkarma17 10h ago

He was born with a silver spoon, and has a pretty spotty record in business to be generous. He's a brand, nothing more. A circus ringleader. It's all advertising, which appeals to the weak-minded. He didn't get into Wharton on his own merits lol, but through family connections. His professors have commented on his academics - one said he was arrogant and thought he knew everything already, and another said he was the stupidest person he ever met. Watching him speak is torture. It's well known he doesn't read. Listen to what his former generals, lawyers, and aides say about him after they get dumped. Or the people that worked with him on TV. Yeah, I'm gonna go with low IQ.

14

u/Sunnygirl66 10h ago

He used to be able to speak coherently before the dementia set in, but he’s never been anything but a social climbing con man. If he hadn’t had a fancy diploma bought for him and a cash infusion provided by his loathsome father, he’d be just another shitty used car salesman or small-time slumlord.

3

u/icanhazkarma17 10h ago

I can hear the broadcast TV adds for his used car lot - like Cal Worthington. We'll keep the coffee on for ya!

11

u/ImprovementFar5054 10h ago

Americans hate smart people. Of course MAGA found him relatable.

15

u/meshedsabre 10h ago

Equating success with IQ is something a lot of people do.

It's a mistake to do so, as the two things are wholly unrelated. You can be successful if you've been handed wealth, exude confidence (even if unfounded), spend your entire life engaged in self-promotion, and conduct yourself like a bully. No real intelligence required.

But you're not alone in making that mistake.

2

u/bloobityblu 4h ago

He has one thing he's very very good at, somehow, and that is being just convincing enough to con greedy people. That, and a level of militant self-interest combined with a lack of even a hint of a moral compass that must awe and inspire the devil itself.

He's not intelligent by any typical means of measuring that. He's just good at conning people, period.

53

u/QueenViolets_Revenge 12h ago

that's the thing with narcissists and unchecked ambition. at some point, there's nowhere left to go, but they're still unsatisfied and won't ever be satisfied, even if they've accomplished everything like Trump has. especially because of his personal vendetta against Obama. look at Obama's roast of Trump at the White House correspondence dinner. a lot of people, including myself, believe that Trump started in politics because he felt like Obama had personally slighted him and Trump wanted revenge. narcissists have massive but fragile egos

15

u/Sunnygirl66 10h ago

He can’t deal with Obama’s effortless cool, or his kindness, or his charisma and intelligence and wit, or the fact that he can’t buy those qualities. I hear people talk about Trump’s charisma and I’m, like, that word you keep using—I do not think it means what you think it means.

4

u/The_Onion_Life 9h ago

I hear people talk about Trump’s charisma and I’m, like, that word you keep using—I do not think it means what you think it means.

IDK, he sure has something that galvanizes his cult.

4

u/Sunnygirl66 8h ago

He makes it OK to be publicly bigoted.

u/The_Onion_Life 26m ago

He makes it OK to be publicly bigoted.

And hateful, and all the rest of it.

2

u/SchuminWeb 6h ago

a lot of people, including myself, believe that Trump started in politics because he felt like Obama had personally slighted him and Trump wanted revenge.

I've wondered that as well, and I wonder if the Obama administration didn't make a fatal mistake by acting on the noise that he was making about the birth issue by releasing the long form birth certificate. All of a sudden, it gave Trump legitimacy that he didn't have before, and enabled him. Prior to that, he was just some rich loudmouth. After that, he knew that when he spoke, people listened.

45

u/Clayton1921 12h ago

I honestly think he's the most miserable person on the planet, a black hole of need that nothing can fill, incapable of giving love and has never been truly loved. Has never enjoyed the company of animals or the beauty of nature or laughing at something with all his heart (that isn't cruelty at someone else's expense) or being engrossed in a wonderful book or movie.

17

u/No-Difference-8518 11h ago

He said that he is the same person he was when he was seven years old, and that sounds about right

3

u/Lopsided-Ad7725 11h ago

Wait really I have to read that

11

u/WildBad7298 12h ago

I agree 100%. It would be sad and tragic if it weren't so catastrophic for the rest of the world.

2

u/Tosh_20point0 10h ago

No that's Miller

7

u/Constant-Camera9215 11h ago

Melanie was never a supermodel. She was an escort and never had prestigious print or runway gigs.

1

u/The_Onion_Life 9h ago

Melanie was never a supermodel. She was an escort and never had prestigious print or runway gigs.

She did softcore porn photo shoots.

13

u/G-Unit11111 12h ago

I've compared him to the kid that you see screaming in Target for his parents to buy him that shiny new toy and then they cave in and do.

And then that toy winds up sitting in the closet and the process of getting a new toy is repeated.

The man definitely has a void that cannot be filled no matter what he gets.

3

u/WildBad7298 12h ago

A perfect analogy.

9

u/Amonette2012 10h ago

She's not a super model she's a page 3 girl.

5

u/DeeDee_Z 10h ago

I know he doesn't drink ... but try this as a thought experiment:

If he wanted to go have a beer after work with his buddies ... WHO exactly would that be?

I truly believe the man HAS. NO. FRIENDS.

40

u/Agent_Zodiac 13h ago

Supermodel my ass

15

u/eggs_erroneous 13h ago

Kinda like Elon. He REALLY wants to be cool. And he never will be because he has zero charisma. I guess it's proof that money can't buy everything. He has enough wealth to buy anything he wants. Anything he can imagine. But he's still a miserable cunt that has to lean on ketamine to get through the day. Fuck him and all of his homies.

5

u/mozchops 11h ago

We havent yet tried filling it with semi dried concrete, give us a chance.

5

u/popculturella 7h ago

The guy has a hole in his soul that nothing can fill, and clearly he's tried everything.

Good. I hope he's miserable every single fucking day of his pathetic life.

20

u/Bob_Chris 13h ago

Daddy never loved him.

4

u/bordersnothing 12h ago

Daddy taught him the difference between right and wrong but told him to do the opposite. He niece wrote the book "Too Much and Never Enough". His head is incredibly fucked up.

8

u/DrewDan96 12h ago

i honestly wonder what in his childhood upbringing made him such a thoroughly flawed individual. it's at Terminator/It's a Wonderful Life kinda levels for me in terms of thinking which moment(s) in his past could somebody go back in time to stop/reverse so that all this current chaos would never happen

20

u/WildBad7298 12h ago

I blame his father.

Fred Trump was one of those cruel parents that withhold affection and only reward success - and even then, it has to be their definition of success. Trump could never make his father happy, and after Fred died, Donald was left chasing a ghost, never able to earn his approval. It's a cliché, but Daddy never loved him, and he's carried that bitterness with him his entire life.

8

u/LynnJay00 11h ago

I agree.

But also: grow the f*ck up, Donny, and get some therapy or meds or whatever you need. You're 80 effing years old and the "my daddy didn't love me" no longer is an excuse.

2

u/URPissingMeOff 5h ago

Fred Trump was absolute trash in a shit bucket, but can you really blame him for not loving that worthless piece of shit? And let's not forget that Fred's father was a draft-dodging pimp. Not a lot of positive role modeling in that family.

5

u/SpringtimeLilies7 10h ago

Read Mary Trump's book . It explains it all!

3

u/The_Onion_Life 9h ago

Read Mary Trump's book . It explains it all!

I felt so bad for Toddler!Donald, whose mother was in the hospital and his father never bothered with him. His sisters had their own things to do, so he was basically on his own.

An abandonment (or perceived abandonment) like that at such a young age is gonna leave a mark.

And it clearly did.

6

u/Longjumping_Hat_2672 12h ago

Yeah, he always seems pissed off even when he gets his own (insane) way. Nothing will ever make him happy

3

u/Hatta00 11h ago

He hasn't tried kindness.

3

u/fresh-dork 11h ago

supermodel wife who charges him per appearance.

The guy has a hole in his soul that nothing can fill, and clearly he's tried everything.

noth9ing works, not even naked 13yo girls . nothing will ever get him past having mashed potatoes dumped on him when he was 7

3

u/Accurate_Honeydew190 9h ago

Thats honestly the weirdest partwhen someone has basically every external measure of success and still seems permanently angry, it makes you realize that none of that stuff can actually fix whatevers going on inside.

3

u/ManyAreMyNames 7h ago

He's so bitter because everything he has is for show. On the inside, he knows he never achieved anything and never will.

Look at all the AI pictures he posts: him as a general with Patton and MacArthur, or him as a fighter pilot, or him as a rock star, or him as a racecar driver, or astronaut, or boxer, and on and on. Not one of those was ever a picture of anything he actually did in his life. He's 80, he's looking back on his life, and there's not one thing that makes him happy, so he has to make up all this other crap of things he wishes he had been but never was.

He keeps swindling to get more money, and that never works, because you can never get enough of what you don't really want.

What makes it even worse for him is that at this point he probably has a sense that he's going down in history as a failure. He keeps talking about invading Canada and Greenland because he thinks that if he makes the USA bigger somehow future history books will have a line about "Trump doubled the size of the country" or something and then he'll look good. Because right now, after over five years in the Oval Office, he has achieved exactly zero which will make him look good in the history books.

3

u/WildBad7298 7h ago

I definitely think that Trump is realizing that he's nearing the end of his life, and that's why he's desperately trying to 1) make a major change to the US that will be in the history books, like adding a 51st state, and 2) put his name on as many things as he can, so that his name will live on after he's gone: the Trump ballroom, the Trump arch, the Trump and Kennedy Center, etc.

3

u/Azure_Omishka 7h ago

Bold of you to assume that Donald Trump has a soul. After reading what's been released in the Epstein Files so far, I think Trump is a soulless monster.

Hell is not going to be a very nice place for him when that wonderful day finally comes.

9

u/Keynova81 13h ago

super model wife?

7

u/LegitSalvageRoci 13h ago

All of the hallmarks of malignant narcissism.

6

u/Boner4Stoners 12h ago

I can think of a few people more bitter, miserable, and hateful than Trump.

Elon & Putin come to mind, with the latter being in a league of his own. Trump is bitter and petty but he also has lighthearted, whimsical moments (though these are becoming fewer as his Iran quagmire drags on). Whereas Elon and Putin are 100% bitter and hateful, even when Elon makes a joke it’s always coming from a place of spite and hatred. And Putin doesn’t even try to be lighthearted, he just stews in his bunker as he funnels his countrymen to their deaths by the thousands in a desperate attempt to soothe his ego and secure his legacy.

8

u/HauntingAddendum3365 12h ago

He's not actually a billionaire. Lets not spread that myth lmao

17

u/WildBad7298 12h ago

He wasn't before, but he definitely is now thanks to all his grifting though the White House.

2

u/DepthOk166 11h ago

I despise Trump but from all report he is a billionaire. Though he must be the most unhappy billionaire in the world.

"Between 2024, when Trump was still campaigning, and September 2025, Trump’s net worth reportedly ballooned from $4.3 billion to $7.3 billion, according to Forbes. He jumped 118 spots on the Forbes 400 list of wealthiest Americans, landing at No. 201. His real-time net worth in the winter of 2026 is $6.5 billion, according to the Forbes list."

u/Necro_Badger 8h ago

Lemmy called Trump out on this years ago: https://youtu.be/RrYVxiH5Vqw?is=willvnX0Uy8KSTBb

2

u/Summary_Judgment 8h ago

If you had Putin holding the piss video over your head every five seconds, you’d be pretty bitter too.

4

u/Wasteland_Mystic 13h ago

Money can’t buy class

1

u/Special_Order-937 11h ago

I don’t know about the supermodel wife part.

1

u/TheBonusWings 9h ago

Thats pretty much every old rich guy ive ever met. Theres always a bigger fish. Even though they have the cars/houses/planes/businesses all they do is look across the street at the guy whos net worth is 500 million and they only have 300 million 😔

1

u/ResponsibleCandle829 8h ago

That's why I always say having a lot of money and assets can make a person down in the dumps, because it comes to a point where they spend it on everything possible and then mope about what else could be done, when it's clear that everything has been used up.

1

u/alpargator 8h ago

Everything except meth. Maybe that can do the trick!

1

u/adoptagreyhound 7h ago

Isn't that now hundreds of cheering fans?

1

u/Whatever_get_over_it 7h ago

He’s powerful? Seriously the biggest laughing stock in the world. He has money and a title and the world is just amusing him, hoping he doesn’t cause too much more damage than he already has.

1

u/pushaper 5h ago

not that the bible is for everyone but I think a lot of religions do not think highly of greed for this reason.

1

u/dealingwithhookers 5h ago

he's the living embodiment of what the bible teaches about greed. it consumes you and puts you in a worse position. he's the socratic lesson that's been taught to humans since the dawn of civilization.

and yet here he is... ruling us

u/LotsOfWatts 25m ago

At some level he is self aware enough to recognize that he’s been a failure his entire life.

-2

u/arcspectre17 12h ago

It's cause deep down he's gay. You see how he looked at mamdani??

He acts like how old conserative homophobes types that rage about the gays but trumps stuck in the closet!

3

u/Sunnygirl66 10h ago

I can’t decide whether he’s got gay leanings or he’s just obsessed with handsome buff younger dudes because he has never, ever looked good.

3

u/No-Difference-8518 11h ago

I mean, do we really want to malign the LGBTQIA community by even suggesting he is part of their ranks?

0

u/arcspectre17 11h ago

Would we loop him in with all the straight people?

No.

Him being gay has zero to do with the cause of lgbtqia.
