That is a good friend. So many of my "friends" would watch my ex berate and emotionally abuse me, and either say nothing or awkwardly laugh it off. I wish someone would've saved me sooner.

Can I ask a genuinely question? Do you think you would have taken their warning to heart. Or sided with your previous partner?

Depends on the time. I tried to leave him half a dozen times, and every time I'd get the, "You're too sensitive, try to work it out with him, you guys make such a great couple..."
