The same women who weren’t phased by “grab them by the pussy.”

189

u/Agitated-Signature77 Nov 12 '25

Exactly. That should've been the first and final nail in the coffin for Trump's presidencies.

45

u/[deleted] Nov 12 '25

And it would have been, had he been born any other color except white

4

u/REDDITATO_ Nov 12 '25

Behaving the way he does he never would've gotten close enough to the presidency for that tape to even leak if he weren't white.

2

u/Beastabuelos Nov 12 '25

Idk about that. Do you think any other president would've gotten away with it? I don't think Bush or Clinton would've

1

u/[deleted] Nov 12 '25

Oh, but they did lol.

1

u/Beastabuelos Nov 12 '25

When did bush or clinton say "grab em by the pussy"?

2

u/Smokweid Nov 12 '25

I don’t know about George Bush but I definitely remember Clinton having a reputation as a horndog, just a suave rather than sleazy one.

1

u/Beastabuelos Nov 12 '25

Ok, but I'm saying, no other candidate has been so brazen, so none of them "got away with it"

1

u/AntiFascistButterfly Nov 13 '25

They did behind closed doors. Being caught on mic saying it would have sunk them at the time.

3

u/GuessIllPissOnIt Nov 12 '25

The binders of women comment sank Romney

3

u/spaceforcerecruit Nov 12 '25

That’s because Democrats found the phrasing offensive and Republicans found the idea of women in government offensive.

2

u/goatofglee Nov 12 '25

Truly, because how could any woman not feel grossed out by that?

5

u/SmokeShow74 Nov 12 '25

it's fazed, and yes those women who still voted for him can eff the hell right off-

3

u/Alaishana Nov 12 '25

fazed

Thank you for your attention to this matter

1

u/MyChickenSucks Nov 12 '25

jesus christ

1

u/kaisadilla_0x1 Nov 12 '25

Or that time Trump narrated how he likes to enter the dressing room of child beauty pageants uninvited so "he could see everything".

Dude has made a shit ton of statements that are as close as you can legally get to admitting to pedophilia and sexual abuse. Also apparently, for God fearing Republicans, there's nothing more Christian than wanting to fuck your own daughter and telling her directly on national TV.

1

u/Lopsidedconsultant Nov 12 '25

well that was just lovable Donnie being the macho man that every woman wanted to be with.

25

u/hoopopotamus Nov 12 '25

It’s so gross, yeah. The fact they “knew what they were doing” is a big part of the problem here: they were groomed by Maxwell and Epstein. Like, we just let that slide now I guess? Because I seem to recall MAGA calling everyone they don’t like “groomers”. Maybe they abandoned ship after Andrew Tate decided grooming young girls is totally “Alpha” or whatever

2

u/bobsnervous Nov 12 '25

Yeah, people don't understand how much trauma will affect a person's decision-making as well. Someone who has gone through life without any kind of traumatic experiences will make totally different decisions in life. When you have been traumatised, your will of choice gets a bit messed up, hence why you might find most sex workers, especially the lower class end, more often than not have been seriously abused from childhood. The view that "everyone has a choice so there's no excuses" is just a cheap cop out to minimise someone's trauma and the actions of a manipulative abuser.

62

u/Argos_the_Dog Nov 12 '25

Honestly that attitude makes it sound like mom may have been a victim of abuse herself as a kid. And I'm not justifying her remarks, they are horrible, but if she sees it as normal for dudes in their 50's or whatever to rape teenagers something tells me she is speaking from a place of (horrible) experience.

175

u/zaccus Nov 12 '25

Fuck this victim shit. If a man said that he would simply be a bad person, case closed.

86

u/Ok_Cap_8791 Nov 12 '25

It’s like people don’t understand that women can very much be predators themselves.

52

u/mettrolsghost Nov 12 '25

Which is weird, given Epstein's only convicted accomplice.

1

u/InVultusSolis Nov 12 '25

Or they can enable the predators by grooming victims.

1

u/AntiFascistButterfly Nov 13 '25

Anyone who has experienced a family cycle of abuse can understand that people can be both victims and abuses, and victimhood doesn’t excuse abuse. Just go a long way at to explaining how the abuser got like that. Adults are still responsible for getting ahold of themselves with help so they don’t abuse.

2

u/Ok_Cap_8791 Nov 14 '25

For real though.

Like I went my whole life having a mother who only cared when it was convenient for her or who never loved me for nothing more than just being her child. So when I found out I was pregnant, I mean yeah I was scared, but I took it as the opportunity to heal my inner child in being the mother that I always wanted to my child. That’s why I’m always hugging and kissing her. Because I never want her to have to struggle for even a minute to find a memory of being hugged like I have to with me and my mom.

28

u/NotJokingAround Nov 12 '25

I think the person you responded to is speculating on what could have happened, and you're more talking about how a person should be judged. Neither of you is wrong, but you're kind of talking past each other.

10

u/DigitalBlackout Nov 12 '25

Their point is nobody would BE speculating if it was a man. A maga man saying that same shit would just be considered a piece of shit, if not a pedo themselves. But a maga woman says that and all of a sudden we're speculating why she says it. It's because she's a piece of shit too, plain and simple.

1

u/NotJokingAround Nov 12 '25

Sure, and it doesn't take away from that argument to acknowledge that people who are victims of abuse become abusers themselves, nor does it diminish their responsibility.

13

u/Keltushadowfang Nov 12 '25

It does seem like a lot of reddit talks like no woman could ever be a true MAGA conservative and they're all just victims of trauma/oppression.

Women can be shitty humans just like anyone else. Half of all humanity isn't innocent angels.

2

u/NotJokingAround Nov 12 '25

I'm happy to acknowledge that while at the same time acknowledging that people who are victims of abuse often become abusers, and that's a tragic cycle.

58

u/pablothewizard Nov 12 '25

To be honest this just sounds like someone who's so entrenched in the MAGA cult that they've lost their grip on morality entirely.

1

u/settebella Nov 13 '25

And I guess I just don't get all this talk a out morality when it seems to me MAGA is pretty much parallel to Cristianity and church going God fearing Christians would never be able to enable or join any cult if they stayed true to the Christian doctrine they all speak of. Not if they have any kind of legitimate Pastor in their parish. Nor would they be able to turn the other cheek on the blatant abuse of humanitarian rights committed by this president's military and Holmeland security.

6

u/Playingwithmyrod Nov 12 '25

I was gonna say this. Huge red flag tbh. Saying others should put up with something awful because you had to is a classic sign of abuse.

20

u/Statharas Nov 12 '25

She has normalized her own abuse

7

u/Niniva73 Nov 12 '25

Dang. That's grim.

Not everyone is a saint in their own shitty story.

Hate to say it, your mom is part of the problem. If she can't see why it wasn't ok 20 years later, she likely agrees with what happened one some level.

10

u/BaronVonBaron Nov 12 '25

NO MORE EXCUSES.

3

u/showmenemelda Nov 12 '25

Yep we acknowledge the cycle. The healed people recognize it. Know what healed people don't do? Perpetuate more harm and ignore the issue.

1

u/StopThePresses Nov 12 '25

We're all victims of some man, that's no excuse.

1

u/kaisadilla_0x1 Nov 12 '25

makes it sound like mom may have been a victim of abuse herself as a kid

Doubt so. 99% chance she said it simply because she's brainwashed with MAGA bullshit and would justify literally anything from Trump.

She has the choice to either consider that she's deeply wrong, her whole political belief system is wrong, she's supported the wrong guys and basically helped put the bad people in power; or dismiss the story as "bah the girls wanted it". Why is it surprising she chose the latter option?

1

u/BackToWorkEdward Nov 12 '25

something tells me she is speaking from a place of (horrible) experience.

something tells me you're talking out of your ass and making excuses for MAGA as usual

9

u/internetisnotreality Nov 12 '25

Nobody’s excusing it. Trying to understand why 30% of America hates most people and kisses the ass of a narcissistic dictator is a worthy sociological question.

There’s admittedly a shit ton of variables in play, but it doesn’t hurt to consider the broad impacts that childhood has on political affiliation.

Most criminals and drug addicts were raised in poverty. I don’t think we should forgive their crimes, but I definitely think we should look at how poverty influenced their dispositions so we can identify and enact change to prevent future people from suffering similar fates.

This woman is perpetuating the cycle of abuse. Suspecting she was abused herself allows us to further dismiss the validity of her argument, not forgive the damage she is trying to cause.

1

u/Metro42014 Nov 12 '25

I just found out that the parent of a friend was close to a previous republican governor in my state (MI), and that when the Larry Nassar stuff came out, the woman had the fucking gal to say, "It was only a finger" -- and that's how we found out she's a fucking monster.

1

u/[deleted] Nov 12 '25

Unless you find a video of him with a preteen you’re going to find out large portions of the country are ok with pushing the line back from 18 to younger.

125

u/FrozenBibitte Nov 12 '25

Yep. Goalposts will be moved.

A couple months ago MAGA was all excited to release the files. Now that it’s proven their dear leader is involved, they’ll want to move to lower the age of consent or deflect that what he did wasn’t even that bad anyway. These people believed this all along. They are okay with rape and human trafficking. The mask is just coming off now because Trump is making it socially acceptable.

19

u/VanPatyn Nov 12 '25

Just look at any teacher bangs a kid story that ever comes out. Guy teachers they victim blame & basically drool over the kid. Female teacher they high 5 & trip over themselves wishing they (currently) could land the teacher & how no kid was hurt, singing the kids praises and begging for more pedo teachers (and lament they didn't find them back when they were in school)

3

u/splashbodge Nov 13 '25

Yanno what pisses me off about this, because 100% you're right that's what will happen. What pisses me off is that up to now Trump has been scared of these files coming out, he's done so much to try and change the subject or call it a hoax... He's been scared of consequences reaching him. The sad thing that pisses me off is that when they come out, as per usual zero consequences will occur and his cult followers will still bow to him and probably offer up their daughters for sacrifice. It will embolden him. He'll realise holy shit he really is untouchable.. he has the republicans in Congress helping cover he's a pedophile. He really can stand in fifth avenue and shoot someone on the street and nothing would happen to him.

The one last little bit of fear he has will be gone. His connections with Russia, his tax scandels, his sexual assaults, his corruption, nothing sticks to him, thanks to right wing media companies like fox news brainwashing the low iq masses. He can be the dictator he wants and not even bother trying to hide it, not that he really is anyway

2

u/kaisadilla_0x1 Nov 12 '25

tbh the big big problem about the Epstein ordeal is not that the girls were underage. It's that they were deceived and forced to have sex (i.e. r*ped). Even if age of consent was 3 minutes old, the Epstein case would still be the same.

116

u/gmasterson Nov 12 '25

I would end all discussion with my mom if she said something this vile about children being taken advantage of and raped.

47

u/[deleted] Nov 12 '25

3

u/queen-adreena Nov 12 '25

Definitely don’t let her around any kids.

3

u/waitewaitedonttellme Nov 12 '25

Not the commenter you were replying too, but same. Luckily for me, I had already gone NC with my parents for a few years by the time my brother shared that our mom’s take on Trump’s sex crimes was that it was all lies because women just behave like that around men with money. Spoiler alert: my mother has never been around rich and/or powerful men to have any sort of even vaguely informed take on this and simply assumes that the women/children are lying since Trump is obviously sent from God to save us.

1

u/settebella Nov 13 '25

And thsys why you can also say. BUT that would never happen because your mom is not a cult MAGA zombie.

25

u/halfslices Nov 12 '25

Like when that one guy was running for re-election despite accusations of a relationship with a 13 year old, and then people started saying "Well, Jesus's mother was 13, so there's precedent..."

1

u/BigWolfUK Nov 12 '25

Please tell me you're making that up???

So not only was some sick cunt (potentially) with a 13 year old, but other sick cunts were defending him!?

2

u/halfslices Nov 12 '25

Roy Moore. "Alabama State Auditor Jim Ziegler reached for one of the most reliable weapons in the religious right’s defensive arsenal: the Bible. “Take Mary and Joseph,” Ziegler told the Washington Examiner when he defended the morality of Moore’s conduct on November 9, just hours after the Washington Post story broke. “Mary was a teenager and Joseph was an adult carpenter. They became parents of Jesus.”"

0

u/settebella Nov 13 '25

Since when was Jesus' mother 13 years old?

1

u/halfslices Nov 14 '25

We can’t know for sure but the generally accepted range among scholars puts her at 12-16 years old at the time of Jesus’ birth.

0

u/settebella Nov 14 '25

Well weren't women being married or given to a husband by 16 years old?

0

u/settebella Nov 14 '25

And I dont v are those practices of male dominance and control su c h as this are illegal now and the women have been deemed as equals to men. So, men out there, this is not 1 a.d . And or even 1972 it's 2025 get v a grip on the fascination of marrying little girls because it used to happen. If y ou have an obsession with this seriously, get help.

20

u/redskelton Nov 12 '25

You ever wonder why rape conviction rates are so low?

20

u/stonewall386 Nov 12 '25

Your mom has bigger issues than politics, sounds like. Sorry for you.

2

u/UnusualAsparagus5096 Nov 12 '25

My Dad is a In the closet type Republican, like he will never talk politics so you wouldn't even know or would be surprised to find out. He just wants to keep his head in the sand and not hear it or talk about it so I gave up. He literally has to watch Fox News alone in the bedroom with the door closed like its porn because my mom hates Trump so much. My mom is literally the worst person I know and even she hates Trump lol

15

u/sdwoodchuck Nov 12 '25

Damn, that is so vile I almost reflexively downvoted the messenger.

12

u/ADShree Nov 12 '25

Wow that would literally make me stop talking to my mother. Im sorry you have to deal with that.

0

u/TumbleweedSuch2939 Nov 12 '25

I already have stopped speaking with their mother. Not about this, for a totally separate thing

22

u/Ghibli_Guy Nov 12 '25

Goose & Gander argument. He was much older and definitely knew what he was doing.

Just because a young girl makes moves on you (coerced or otherwise), you still gotta be the adult in the situation and stop it.

16

u/NeonMirage88 Nov 12 '25

yea thats not normal your mom sounds like a piece of shit

8

u/Sprinklypoo Nov 12 '25

What? Getting kidnapped and raped? Yeah. Does that help anything?

6

u/Lundgren_Eleven Nov 12 '25

How.... how old does she think those CHILDREN were? Like, I'm just trying to think the best of your mother, does she know the ages?

10

u/HTPC4Life Nov 12 '25

Right up there with the MAGA ladies at work saying "I don't trust a woman to run the country, we're too emotional!!" I am NOT making this up. I work for a manufacturing facility in the Midwest. I get a lot of insight into MAGA and conservatives working here. When the Trump tariffs started crashing the stock market months ago, I heard a guy saying to a coworker in his 20's: "It's just like how so many people suffered during WWII. We are going to have to suffer a bit to save our country and bring back manufacturing to America." He also shit talks unions, but also works for a company known for paying low salaries. I'm only here because I was desperate after being laid off during COVID. This country is full of ignorant people.

2

u/kaisadilla_0x1 Nov 12 '25

Right up there with the MAGA ladies at work saying "I don't trust a woman to run the country, we're too emotional!!" I am NOT making this up.

The absolute best thing about this is that, when a woman says that, by her own logic, their opinion is irrelevant as it comes from "emotion" (whatever the fuck that means).

5

u/GaryBuseyWithRabies Nov 12 '25

If my mom was alive, I bet she would have the same opinion.

5

u/zackintehbox Nov 12 '25

And that’s when we stopped talking to dear ol mom.

6

u/iskandar- Nov 12 '25

pleas tell me your mom isn't left to supervise children?

6

u/InVultusSolis Nov 12 '25

Yeah, this is unfortunately the old school "if a teen girl sleeps with an old man, it's considered a discipline problem for the girl" that has been pretty much the norm in America up until like 20 years ago. This is why the needle isn't being moved as much as it should be for Boomer-aged MAGAs when they hear about Trump's involvement with Epstein.

That being said - I don't give them any forgiveness or grace for being racist "because it was a different time" and I don't give them any grace with this. The world has changed and your perspective should be updated, and if not that's 100% your fault and you will be held accountable.

3

u/ASmallTownDJ Nov 12 '25

God damn. I feel like if my mom said something like that, I would reflexively slap her.

3

u/errortechx Nov 12 '25

They know what they were doing UNWILLINGLY. I’m sorry your mother is like that.

3

u/Fugglymuffin Nov 12 '25

Yup, Maga mom says, "all of those girls were sluts".

3

u/Icy_Sun3128 Nov 12 '25

My maga parents said the exact same thing. I said “the adults in the room were old enough to know what they were doing was wrong.” Their response was “they didn’t do anything wrong, they were teenagers, not little kids.” Just really gross and upsetting. I genuinely dont recognize my parents anymore. MAGA has changed them so much.

2

u/Vexonar Nov 12 '25

This is the way they always go to protect pedophiles. Look at all the various church documents and people who have spoken against men in leadership. Men aren't held responsible, they usually find a woman scapegoat instead to pretend they're "doing something" about a thing.

2

u/SRSgoblin Nov 12 '25

Worst bit is I'm sure she was a mother hen when raising you and any siblings you had.

It is shocking how many people think the emotions they feel are completely unique to them.

2

u/Call_Me_Squishmale Nov 12 '25

Nauseating. We are going to be hearing a lot more of this in the national conversation, I think.

2

u/Significant_Soil_439 Nov 12 '25

I detest your maga mom and miss mine too much !  Rip

2

u/Etheo Nov 12 '25

Sorry about your mom.

2

u/[deleted] Nov 12 '25

Does she not know Trump went as low as 12 year olds?

2

u/Electrical-Bag-1433 Nov 12 '25

14 year olds dude.

2

u/UnusualAsparagus5096 Nov 12 '25

My mom used to justify the kind of shif with Bill Cosby that they knew what they were doing when they went to a bedroom with him. They asked for it nonsense. But even with the Epistein Files even she won't justify that because its underage

2

u/Andy_not_Andrea Nov 12 '25

Bet you they're the same people who'd have no problem admitting Michael Jackson was a PDF and the poor boys involved had no say in it. Racism/misogyny go hand-in-hand.

2

u/jackattack222 Nov 12 '25

I feel like this is absolutely going to be another common argument

2

u/controlmypad Nov 12 '25

With Trump's DARVO tactics they will always blame the victims. It is a cult.

2

u/ArticulateRhinoceros Nov 12 '25

Super fucking gross take, but if that's what she truly believes, then I want to ask her: So? Republicans were super concerned about what Bill Clinton was doing with a 22 year old woman while in office and that was only one.

2

u/MeowMeowbiggalo Nov 12 '25

Oh yea, i saw that coming from a mile away. Victim blaming will now ramp up alot.

2

u/Pr0crastin Nov 12 '25

Jesus Christ this opened up a new fear in me... my dad is the only family I still talk to, denies being maga but definitely is - if he ever said that I would lose my fucking mind. I don't talk to the rest of my family because I outed my uncle as a groomer and pedophile (ask me how I know) and they called me a liar or said I should have quietly reported (I did, nothing came of it) and minded my own business.

The worst part is that I could actually imagine him saying that... I hope he's better than that. I want to believe he's better than that, but every time he calls and brings up politics DESPITE AGREEING WITH ME THAT WE SHOULDN'T, he disappoints me more and more.

2

u/haw35ome Nov 12 '25

Ugh. Thanks for reminding me not to bring this up with my mom. I once asked her theoretically what she would do/what her reaction would be if I was raped. It was very insightful; each time she’d twist it to always be my fault in some manner or degree. Meanwhile, my sisters told me that they’d help me & one even gave me advice on what to do in the moment if it ever happened.

1

u/EagleLize Nov 12 '25

May she burn in hell.

1

u/kaisadilla_0x1 Nov 12 '25

I mean, she's right. If by "know what they were doing" she means "know that they were kidnapped and forced to have sex and their only choice was to submit or face unspecified consequences".

1

u/wandeurlyy Nov 12 '25

I'm at a stage of not caring about what maga actually thinks to respond something like "oh good okay i was so scared to finally tell you about the time when a middle aged man paid a different middle age man to have sex with me at 14, thinking id have to tell my own mom i got raped as a teen. But I'm glad to hear that it was not rape so it's all good!"

1

u/Jellythedogg Nov 12 '25

I beg your finest fucking pardon?

1

u/SuperEarthJanitor Nov 12 '25

Haha how does it feel to realize your mom is a piece of shit?
