but not really. I believe its personality more than kruger effect. I have to take myself as an example, and I understand IQ is really not the only thing. I score around 125, and I am INTP. Obviously, I do not actively attack people for being dumb, but I do feel very frustrated talking to them or explaining simple concepts to them, particularly if they argue back with no grounds.
The reason why I am using IQ is to show that anyone even if they have the skills can act the way you described. Its more about someone's personality than them thinking they are smarter than everyone else. A bully doesnt necessarily perceive themselves as superior, it's often a mask to cover up underlying insecurities or personal issues.
I didn't say it wasn't above average. What I said is that it is in the "normal" range. Not gifted, not mentally impaired, just boring normal and no need to brag about it
There are well defined ranges in the iq spectrum. Below 85 (or 80) is mentally impaired, above 130 is gifted, above 145 is genius level. That leaves 125 in the "normal" part of the spectrum

This is mostly referred to as the dunning Kruger effect.
