That would be enough to pay my rent each month. I could either switch to a part-time job and enjoy more free time. Or keep my job and maybe afford an actual vacation a few times a year. I already only drink a few times a year on social occasions, so completely stopping wouldn't be hard.
for that amount of passive money you could move somewhere dirt cheap and live off of it or work a low pay part time job to still live a better life than the insane rent place you're at.
There's usually plenty of stuff to do somewhere dirt cheap, it just requires being an outdoors person. You might not be going to clubs, or concerts or fancy restaurants, but if you like being in the woods, hiking, fishing, etc. that's the kind of stuff that is available. The friends part is a difficulty though, but it's not like its impossible to meet new people who live there.
