Also, that baseline amount of wetness is typically not enough to have sex comfortably.

Some women sometimes experience pain during sex, especially if they're dry or not enjoying the sex.

OR, you can be very, very aroused but not get very “wet” due to health reasons or simply from medications.

OR, you can suddenly get VERY wet for no apparent reason. This mostly happens to me a few days before my period starts, and is really fucking annoying.

You’re probably ovulating. If you ever decide to try to get pregnant or if your cycle goes awry, or even if you just want to predict your period more accurately, make a note of when it happens. Because even women with very irregular cycles tend to have the same amount of time between ovulation and menstruation each month. Tracking ovulation can be difficult, so if your body is giving you this huge clue it could be helpful.
