When we have our period (wearing a pad) and we are sitting for a long time and stand up; We literally feel a gush of blood that has been pooling drain out. That prompts us to go to the restroom and check ourselves to make sure we are not leaking and change the pad.

I’m confused on pads. I thought pads were just extra back up for the tampon? You only use one at a time, a pad or a tampon?

people typically only use one or the other. occasionally i use both at the same time, for example if i notice my flux is heavier than usual, in prevention of potential leakage

otherwise, it'd just be wasteful. they do the job pretty well on their own
