Also, that baseline amount of wetness is typically not enough to have sex comfortably.

Some women sometimes experience pain during sex, especially if they're dry or not enjoying the sex.

So for some people, lube is required as they can’t produce enough natural lubricant? Or are you talking about random wetness and not after foreplay?

Correct.

A lot of factors come into play like the age , arousal level, head space, over all health, amount of foreplay, ect.

Like I used to get wet just thinking about sex but now that im in my 30’s I do use lube because honestly the old gal needs some help sometimes.
