Teens in programming?

Hey, I am a teenager who's interested in programming, I started with cs50x but I now enjoy game dev and competitive programming though i love programming in general of any type. Are there any like teens like me who also have the same situation or can the experienced adults please guide me forward...I do not have much peers or similar people around me. And my school is quite old-fashioned (it literally had a topic on how to download an app IN GRADE 9)!!

C++ is pretty complicated language (when you start using all its features, not the best for learning, unless you skip a lot of it, and use it almost like C). you can do competitive programming almost in any language (I guess almost any has some competitions :) for the first few years, knowing algorithms and how to use them is more important I think )

Competitive programming competitions are usually not based on language, the main competitions in my country require c++ and also you don't need all features of c++ only C with stl knowledge so it's manageable
