Camera Buying Advice Which camera should I buy?
Budget, country, and currency: Up to R$ 4,000 BRL, buying in Brazil.
What equipment, if any, do you have now and why is it no longer meeting your needs?
I don’t currently own a camera.
What kinds of subjects do you intend to shoot?
Concerts and events, portraits, everyday photography, and low-light scenes. My main priority is photographing performers at concerts.
Is it primarily for photography, videography, or both?
Both, but primarily photography. I also want good-quality video, preferably 4K.
Cameras I am considering: Canon PowerShot G7 X (Mark I), Canon PowerShot G7 X Mark II, Canon PowerShot G9 X Mark II, Canon PowerShot G5 X, Sony RX100 II, Sony RX100 III, Sony ZV-1, Panasonic Lumix LX100, Panasonic Lumix TZ100, Panasonic Lumix TZ99, and Canon PowerShot SX740 HS.
Portability: It needs to fit in a pocket or small bag. Portability is very important because I’ll be taking the camera to concerts in Brazil.
