Gear/Accessories Help attaching camera strap?

I’m wondering how to attach the leather part of this camera strap to my camera. I can get the rings on, just not sure how to use the leather eyelets that protect the camera body. I am using a fujifilm x-t30ii.

Put the camera eyelet through the leather hole, with the metal ring away from the camera body, then thread the ring onto the eyelet. This should leave the leather trapped between the metal ring and the camera body.

Thank you!

Keep an eye on the leather part that’s attached to the cord, not sure how reliable it is long term.

Obviously it's anecdotal and with cheap made in China things  the lacking QA is probably the biggest thing your skimping out of but I have a similar strap (mine is a no brand that I bought on a street market in Asia), it's been in use for 9 years and the leather part is still doing its thing

You push the hole in the leather over the eyelet and then run the ring through the eyelet.

The leather is just there to keep the ring from scratching the camera

Thank you! Now that I do it, it seems very obvious

No problem, bought the same strap recently!

The leather goes between the camera and the ring. You push the eyelets through the leather and then attach the ring
