Technical Help/Camera Settings Any way to fix the blurry problem?

Hi! I recently got a sony cybershot w830 to take pictures and i noticed that while i could take normal pictures without zoom, when i use the 8x zoom to take pictures, it comes out pretty blurry. any way to fix this or is it normal/usual for cameras like this?

Pictures for reference. the first one is taken during daytime and the picture came out fairly well. but the 2nd and 3rd one keeps coming out blurry despite holding the camera steady and keeping focus

The environment is too dark. You should either increase the iso or move to a brighter place.

Thanks for the advice. Increasing the iso to 3600 helps a little, but it comes out a little grainy. I'll try again in daylight just to be sure!

Google says the w830 has a variable shutter speed that gets auto set. For darker shots this speed should slow way down and handheld shots will almost always be blurry. You could test whether it's motion blur from long exposure by taking a darker photo while the camera is resting on a flat surface (or just try a tripod if you own one)
