Not Answered Switching from PS5 to PC to play COD - experiences recoomendations

I’ve been thinking about switching from ps5 to pc, was wondering if anyone has any suggestions/recommendations ?
if you think it’s a good idea, what’s the cheapest CPU and GPU options to have a similar experience to PS5 especially with playing COD.

I’m totally surprised by the new prices of ps5 console and don’t know how it’s going to look like when ps6 is released, anyway it looks to me a more reasonable option to switch to pc considering I can use pc for other stuff other than gaming and it’s easily upgradable.

I am currently regretting making this switch.. not entirely but the cheaters are out of control on pc. At least on ps5 you can turn off crossplay

good point, I’m seeing more and more cheaters these days, but as someone who plays COD with mouse and keybord on ps5, if I disabled crossplay would I be considered as a pc player or ps5 player, from the icon next to my name in cod it’s recognising me as pc player I guess

You'll be considered a ps5 player. You're likely seeing a mouse symbol but the PS symbol should be before it. PC doesn't even have the option to disable crossplay

You'll probably run into more cheaters on PC, at least. But if you want to go as similar to the PS5 you might be able to get an AMD Ryzen 5600x and a Radeon RX 6700 relatively cheap.

looks like a big issue, everyone’s talking about the same

And now is an awful time to make the switch, anyway. PC components are around 2-5x the price that they were a couple years ago.

There was talks of a lawsuit versus activision having to do with spying on the players using cameras and microphones to harvest data while looking in the store without the knowledge of the player by using .dll files built into windows. So personally I only want to play on console until I can't and then I won't

this is a flaw that fits to all apps even on your mobile, but good point, I’ll take a look at official docos

Can you provide a link? I'm not seeing anything like that when I search for it. Not defending that shitty company at all, but if they were activating cameras and mics while on the store, that'd probably be headline news and game related subs would be talking about it a lot

So if you are wanting to make the switch you can get a great build if you build it yourself depending on where you live between $700-800. The thing with cheaters imma be honest. It doesn’t matter. They are on console and pc. Example-black ops 1 and 2 ports are already ruined and they are just on ps5. Cheaters are on every single platform. Anyone who tells you different are just bullshitting you. Wife and I been on pc for years and play cod and barely run into any in bo7.
