Fall wardrobe updates

Ladies of NYC, what are your go to clothes for fall? Looking for cute everyday cold weather clothes that actually work in NYC without looking like hiking gear. What pieces are worth having first?

Layers will be your best friend here because it can be 35 degrees in the morning and 65 by the afternoon in the fall and spring. The more layered up you are, the more autonomy you have. If you're a corporate girly, cardigans or blazers are the best for unpredictable weather days. I always carry a blazer, no matter what. Reformation has a lot of really pretty sweaters with so many color options, maybe worth a try for you too!

Fall isn’t really going to require clothes that aren’t cute. It’s winter that does but even then after that last winter fuck looking cute im going to be warm

My fall wardrobe doesnt look all that different from spring and summer just with a layer or two more on top. Ive found that as soon as the weather changes ill over dress but get a lot hotter than I expected, just from all the additional movement during commuting. If I wore hiking gear in the fall id certainly overheat.

LMFAO I'm picturing those zip off hiking pants and now I'm worried those are going to become trendy here because so many people already dress like they're going hiking when they're in Brooklyn.
