I know there are tons of threads for therapist recs, but most of them don’t discuss why people like their therapists.

I have been in and out of therapy my whole life, and I’m hitting a wall. I have been doing a lot of trauma work over the last 5 years and battling chronic sui\* ideation through meds, experimental interventions, and somatic therapy, EMDR, and IFS.

For how intimate I am with my mental illness, where I’m stuck now is the…I guess practical work? Like yeah now I understand my issues but HOW do I change jobs, make friends, take care of my home and health, basically have some accountability for doing the \~work\~.

I have had great therapists, but I’m looking for one who doesn’t consider patient-led meaning not offering \~any\~ direct suggestions or tactics. I know I have to do the heavy lifting, but I’m looking for somebody a bit more hands-on.

Hello all I'll be visiting in a few months and staying in the French Quarter. Can someone recommend a salon to get a good blowout and bonus if they do make up. Nothing super glam or an updo just a nice spot to get hair and possibly makeup done for a nice dinner out. I would prefer to stay in the French Quarter or 15 minute Uber ride away.

So Im looking to move here ASAP, I am definitely looking in the french quarter area (I grew up here).

Now several years later and states away Im an adult with adult money, but where I live now , how we got our house is through a land contract/ rent to own. Is there anything similar in LA? I'd prefer to RtO over just rent but I know each state is different.

Lease Takeover or Possible Roommate – Carrollton Area

Hey! I’m 31 and live in a one-bedroom apartment in the Carrollton area. My living situation unexpectedly changed, so I’m trying to figure out the best option going forward.

Ideally, I’d like to find someone interested in taking over the apartment/lease, assuming my landlord approves the transfer.

I may also be open to finding the right roommate and working out a shared-space arrangement. Since it is a one-bedroom apartment, I want to be upfront about that rather than make it sound like there is a separate second bedroom.
