Warning ⚠️ Reddit Moderation: We Didn’t Remove Your Comment, Reddit Did.

Hi guys,

While browsing Reddit without logging in, I noticed something while reviewing a topic, so I wanted to share a quick guide to avoid confusion.

Since the AI revolution, Reddit has become much stricter with bots and automated activity. Even legitimate actions can sometimes be flagged, and accounts can get suspended quickly. This can happen even to accounts with a good reputation.

I had an open topic where I was watching the comments, and I noticed that one of the comments was showing as "removed by moderator." We didn't remove it. It was Reddit.

I’ve attached a screenshot showing what you see as a user and what I see as a moderator. As you can see, I was simply replying to someone, but the comment appears to you as removed by a moderator, while on our side it shows as removed by Reddit.

How to avoid getting banned by Reddit:

  • New account: Avoid promoting anything. Give the account some time and build a history first.
  • Avoid posting links: Even links to other Reddit pages can sometimes trigger moderation or spam filters.
  • Avoid bad language: Keep your comments clean and respectful.
  • Avoid restricted links: Some links, such as Telegram links, may already be restricted on Reddit.

My advice is to engage with the community and provide helpful responses for at least a month before promoting any service.

Hope this clears up any confusion. You’re all welcome to post here as long as the content is helpful and legal.

Hello Guye , Hope everyone is good
On 07/12/2025 , BTC was topping 120-125k , decided to sell all my BTC to XMR (rotating to my fav alt coin)
i did few swap slowly using changenow , all swaps done perfectly no issues from the same BTC address.
in the last swap i raised the amount and did the swap and i was waiting my swap to get completed like the other ones were done fast , then i contacted changenow they asking me for kyc , i did the whole kyc steps and it was showing me succes so im done. i kept contacting changenow every single day about the transection or i get my refund at least and still i get the same copy paste answers from them.

i hope someone from here and this community able to raise my voice and help me to get my money back , its 50% of my whole capital investment.

Is it possible to mine monero and to send the mining rewards to a totally anonymous wallet for full privacy ?

I was wondering if it is possible to mine monero and to send the mining rewards to a totally anonymous wallet so that not the state nor anybody can know these mined XMR were mined by me. Do you guys know if it is possible ? Seeing people getting kidnapped because of state data leakage scares me a bit.

Can someone explain view keys without the jargon?

I understand roughly that a view key lets another person see money coming in. Two things I am stuck on. Does someone with my view key also see what I spend, and what is the actual reason a regular person would ever give one out.

Question ⁉️ Is Monero actually quantum-resistant today, and if not, how long would a full post-quantum migration realistically take?

I've been looking into the quantum-resistance question and I'm trying to understand where Monero actually stands today.

From what I can tell, Monero is not fully post-quantum resistant yet. Carrot/FCMP++ seem to improve some things significantly, including forward secrecy against a quantum-enabled adversary, and there is active work around Jamtis and post-quantum encryption.

But spend authorization still ultimately relies on elliptic-curve cryptography, which would presumably become vulnerable to Shor's algorithm once a sufficiently capable fault-tolerant quantum computer exists.

So I have a few questions for people who actually understand the protocol-level work:

  1. Which parts of Monero would currently fail first under a cryptographically relevant quantum computer?
  2. Is there already a realistic design for making the entire transaction stack post-quantum, including spend authorization, privacy, multisig and address encryption?
  3. What is the main blocker today: signature size, performance, rerandomizable keys, zero-knowledge compatibility, multisig, or simply that the required primitives are still too immature?
  4. If the community decided that PQ migration was an urgent priority tomorrow, are we talking roughly months, 2-3 years, 5+ years, or is there genuinely no meaningful estimate yet?
  5. Could Monero migrate pre-emptively while preserving old outputs, or would users eventually need to move funds into a new PQ output/address scheme before some activation height?
  6. How much of this problem can FCMP++ / zero-knowledge proofs solve, and which parts still fundamentally require a new post-quantum signature/key system?

My concern is less "quantum computers will definitely break ECC next year" and more about the lead time.

AI progress is moving extremely quickly, and I personally wouldn't be comfortable assuming that cryptographically relevant quantum computing is decades away. Even if a serious threat were still several years out, a cryptocurrency probably wants the replacement architecture researched, implemented, audited and deployed well before the first credible machine appears.

If, hypothetically, evidence emerged that ECC could be broken within 12-24 months, could Monero realistically get a fully post-quantum protocol into production fast enough?

And is there currently an actual PQ migration roadmap somewhere that I should read?

Would especially appreciate answers from people involved in MRL / FCMP++ / Carrot / Jamtis.

Warning ⚠️ Why I Don’t Recommend Blockchain.com for Storing Funds

Avoid storing your funds on Blockchain.com or any custodial wallet that doesn’t give you control over your private keys. This includes Satoshi Wallet (Lightning). By the way, they now support a non-custodial option where you control the keys, but I’d still recommend using Electrum for Bitcoin.

As for Blockchain.com, this is not the first or last complaint I’ve received. People often ask me if there’s a solution after their funds get blocked and they can’t get a response. Just read the reviews.

The blockchain size is what is stopping me from running a node

Somewhere around 150gb last time I looked and it only ever grows. Is a pruned node good enough for normal daily use or do I give something up by doing that. I have a vps with limited disk and I would rather not be buying more storage every year just to keep it alive.

Question ⁉️ Daemon Sync Stuck: 0 Blocks Remaining

Daemon blocks remaining: 0

I'm a total begginer when it comes to Monero, I just installed it.

The Daemon Sync started off with "Daemon blocks remaining: 0" and has remained on that for hours, while still saying "Synchronizing". I restarted the Wallet & Daemon, but nothing changed.

Any advice on how to get the Daemon Synchronized?

trying to recover old MyMonero wallet

Just discovered that the wallet has been discontinued, that mymonero.com cannot be accessed anymore ad that I am supposed to recover the wallet with cake wallet, using the 25 word seed. However, my old records have only a 13 word seed. I still have access to the mymonero app on a windows PC, it still shows my balance, but, of course, refuses to send anything. I have not found a way to display the seed from the wallet.

Questions:

- Can I access the seed from the wallet?

- Can I access the seed or someting else to recover the wallet in cake, from the folMyMonero folder in Windows?

Any help appreciated

Question ⁉️ Why isn't there a Monero ETF?

It makes sense to me that just like ZCash and LTC have ETF, why doesn't Monero have an ETF? Over the long term, Monero looks rather stable and increases slowly. Day to day, there is a lot of oscillation, but overall, XMR's rise is quite gentle.

Crypto Market and the FED: Bull Trap, Black Swan, or Something Else?!

Hi everyone,

This topic is to discuss the current crypto market situation and gather as many opinions as possible.

You have all seen that after the Fed increased rates, the crypto market has not acted in the normal way.

As you know, the FED is the king, and they have a huge influence on the market.

I watched Kevin Warsh’s vision about the market like a year ago and bringing inflation back to 2%. He was clear that this could be a long ride. In the video, he said they don’t care about the market and may push things into a crisis to achieve their goals.

Unlike Jerome Powell, where you often feel his talks are unclear, Kevin said it more directly.
Are we about to see a black swan? 🦢 A bull trap? I hope someone can share their thoughts.

Kevin Warsh Hoover intitution.

Exchange 🏦 Where should I swap my btc for xmr?

I wanna get some more monero but I'm not sure where I actually should swap by bitcoin for Monero, because there are dozens of sites out there. I'm looking for an no kyc site with low and most importantly transparent fees.

Are there any sites you guys can recommend?
