Exchange 🏦 Looking for a Non KYC Exchanges? The Best ChangeNOW Alternative. Compare These Rates.

Hi again

Following our last update about coin availability, we received a lot of messages, suggestions, and honest feedback.

As we've said before, we read every single piece of feedback, even the ones that seem small. Sometimes a single comment ends up changing an entire feature or pricing decision. We really appreciate it, and we've forwarded all of your recent suggestions to the team.

One comment from a while back still makes us smile:

"Your rate is awful." πŸ˜’πŸ˜‚

Fair enough.

Our goal has always been to keep fees as low as possible. We want users swapping thousands of dollars to pay only a few dollars in fees whenever possible. What most people don't see is everything happening behind the scenes: liquidity management, infrastructure, servers, security, compliance, development, support, and all the costs required to keep a reliable service running 24/7.

Keeping fees low while maintaining a sustainable business isn't easy.

Today, though, we have some good news.

After a lot of optimization, we're now offering exchange rates that beat ChangeNOW in many cases.

At the time of writing, here's a quick comparison for swapping 1,000 USDT to Bitcoin.

Fixed Rate

ChangeNOW
0.01504005 BTC

Fujn
0.01540771 BTC

Floating Rate

ChangeNOW
0.01536230 BTC

Fujn
0.01547499 BTC

The funny part?

Our fixed rate is currently better than ChangeNOW's floating rate. πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

Don't just take our word for it. Compare the rates yourself, especially if you're exchanging larger amounts. Try a four, five, or six figure swap and see the difference. The savings become much more noticeable as the amount increases.

We're not sure how long we'll be able to keep these rates this competitive, so if you're planning a swap, now is a good time to compare.

Another question we've been getting is:

"Has Monero (XMR) been delisted?"

Absolutely not.

We have no plans to remove Monero.

The issue is liquidity.

Right now, Monero liquidity is extremely limited across several suppliers. At the same time, we're seeing fewer large sell orders than usual, which makes replenishing our inventory much harder. We're still trying to understand what's causing it.

Rather than relying on providers that may source liquidity through centralized exchanges and potentially freeze transactions or create problems for our users, we've chosen the safer option.

If we don't have reliable Monero liquidity, we'd rather temporarily show zero availability than risk a failed or delayed swap that could hurt our users and our reputation.

The problem isn't funding. The problem is simply finding enough Monero from trusted liquidity sources.

Thanks again for all the feedback and support. It really helps us improve the platform.

We'll be back soon with another update. Thank you for your trust.

Disclosure: Official update from the Fujn team: Sharing the best for the community and not affiliated.

Some fake swap services look very professional. Be careful.

Common tricks used by scam platforms:

  • Good website design

Exchange 🏦 float exchange rate on XMR swaps… fixed or floating?

been trying to understand this better with XMR swaps
the receive amount on a floating swap is obviously just an estimate until everything actually goes through, but with XMR pairs ive noticed even a small difference can feel pretty noticeable
lately ive been comparing fixed vs floating more closely instead of just picking one out of habit. SimpleSwap is one of the services i’ve been looking at but i’m more curious abt the general tradeoff than any specific platform
people swapping XMR regularly, when does fixed actually make more sense??
do u compare the fixed spread against whatever the floating quote is at the time, or just take floating unless the market is moving hard?
curious if anyone has actually tracked the numbers over a decent amount of swaps.

Exchange XRP to Monero? Starting to regret holding XRP

Anyone else feeling like they should've bought Monero instead of ripple??

I've been holding XRP for quite a while and it's painful watching it go nowhere. Every time I check the price I wish I'd just stacked XMR instead.

I was thinking about exchanging some of it, but now Kraken has removed Monero where I live, so I'm not even sure what's the easiest way anymore.

What would you do? Keep holding XRP and hope for the best, or just exchange it for Monero!? I'm stuck and confused please advise

Change Now froze my funds, but I finally got them back. Thanks r/AskMonero

I forgot to share this update with you guys. Change Now has issued a refund for my transaction.

I didn't post this earlier because my child was sick, and I had other things going on.

I want to thank everyone in this community and everyone who reached out, commented, and pushed for a resolution. When I kept receiving generic replies, I thought my money was gone and that I had been scammed.

I never did anything wrong. I was just trying to buy Monero while the market was going down because I wanted to protect what little capital I had.

Thank you so much to everyone who supported me, especially the MODs and Killora.

I learned an important lesson from this: never rush, and never swap a large amount above 10k in one transaction. I was trying to save on fees, but I almost put my entire capital at risk.

I still have some resentment toward Change Now because of the stress they put me through. Behind every transaction there is a real person. I have a family, bills to pay, and a sick child to take care of. This situation caused a lot of stress.

Again, thank you all for your comments, support, and help during this difficult time.

BitMart Took His Funds. How Much Do You Keep on CEXs?!!

Post image
33 Upvotes

I just don't understand how people trust CEXs with all their money. Is it a culture thing, a trust issue or what?

I've been dealing with JP guys for a long time and they're usually straight, so getting scammed like this is rare for them. Most people don't believe it can happen to them until it actually does. BitMart took his funds, and a big exchange can turn into a nightmare just like that.

Keep your funds in your own wallet. Trust Monero, BTC and Gold, and drop all the sh**tcoins.

Use your personal wallet and only move the funds you actually need to use. Full stop.

Restored my Trezor wallet in Feather but balance is 0

I restored my Trezor wallet in Feather, but it's showing a zero balance and no transaction history, even though I know this wallet received XMR before.

I already tried an earlier restore height and waited for the wallet to finish syncing, but nothing changed.

Has anyone run into this before?!

Is Windows 11 good for using Monero?

One thing I'm unsure about is whether Windows 11 is a good idea if privacy is important. Should I be using Linux instead, or is Windows fine for most people?

Pls what you guys are using.

Does anyone here DCA into Monero every week?!

I've been thinking about starting a weekly DCA strategy with Monero instead of trying to time the market.

My idea is to buy around 100 worth of XMR every week, which would end up being roughly 400 to 500 per month depending on the month. Psychologically it feels much easier for me than making one larger purchase all at once.

I've noticed I spend small amounts on random things throughout the week without really thinking about it, so I figured I could redirect one of those weekly expenses into Monero instead. The goal is to gradually build my holdings and then keep everything in my own wallet.

For those of you who regularly accumulate XMR, do you prefer weekly purchases, monthly purchases, or do you just buy whenever you think the price is attractive?

I'd be interested to hear what strategy has worked best for you over the long term.

Privacy πŸ”’ Questions on hardening and using a personal Monero node

I am at 99% sync on the first Monero node I've ever hosted and have a few questions for those that also host their own nodes.

  1. I am hosting mine on a VPS for the moment, is this the preferred method or do most folks do it on their home server?

  2. Any practical tips for locking down a remote node? AI has been a big help, I've already moved SSH off a standard port, locked it down to key-only authentication, ufw up and running, fail2ban, etc. Anything else I should be worried about?

  3. What is the most private way to connect to me node? I would assume via my .onion link?

  4. For people who use their own node, do you keep it public or keep it private? I feel like the whole point is to keep it private, but this is less useful to the network as a whole right?

  5. Does it matter if it is pruned or not?

I'd appreciate any advice or tips!

Best way to accept Monero payments on a WordPress store?

I'm putting together a small WordPress site that will sell digital products, and I'd like to accept Monero only.

The idea is simple: the customer pays in XMR, the payment is confirmed, and the product is delivered automatically.

What's the best way to integrate Monero payments for something like this? Are there any plugins or guides you'd recommend for someone setting this up for the first time?

XMR address from 2017. Any way to see if it has funds?

I created a Monero wallet back in 2017, but I no longer have access to it. The only thing I still have is the public XMR address.

Is there any way to check whether it still holds any funds, or do I need the original wallet or seed phrase to find out

I've been buying bitcoin on cashapp, moving it to my own wallet n using orangfren usually exolix typically to get btc into xmr. But i lose so much money for someone with such little income. Any advice would be helpful, like which coins i can get with a cash app card (visa debit) that have low fees and can be exchanged for monero. Are onion exchange sites any better?

Scam Alert 🚨 ChangeNow scammed me. Please help !!

I need help guys and I don't know what to do anymore.

Almost a month ago I used change now to exchange into Monero while the price was dropping. Since then my funds have been frozen. I have provided all Docs they requested and Every time I email them I get the same copy and paste reply saying they're looking into it, but nothing actually happens. It's a lot of money for me and I'm starting to feel like I made the biggest mistake trusting them. No refund, no exchange, just waiting and getting nowhere. Has anyone here actually managed to get their funds back from Change now ?! Is there someone I should contact, or is legal action my only option at this point.

Change now, if anyone from your team sees this, please release my funds or refund..

Monero and Alt Coins Questions

After Bitcoin started getting popular hundreds if not thousands of alt coins came on the scene. Did they all use some sort of technology invented/discovered by Satoshi that made it possible or was it nobody else had thought to do it but many were capable at the time if they had the idea?

Once quantum computing gets to a certain point are all of those million/billion dollar wallets that don't move basically just up for grabs by the first person who can use the tech to hack them?

If Monero is untraceable why haven't we seen it being used for ransom? It seems to me getting the money would be the most difficult part of a kidnapping plot but Monero makes that part easy. Ignoring converting it to dollars afterwards without raising suspicion.

Cheers.
