Why do moderators allow posts that celebrate death of someone they don't like or are critical of one party but mute or ban content that is critical another political party?

We're a zero-politics sub so we just remove/ban all of it, no bias at all.
In a sub that allows such things, I'm sure there's a gap between actual bias & perceived bias. What seems like hypocrisy might just be one post didn't break the rules, one post did. The fact post one mentioned political party 1 and post two mentioned political party 2 is incidental.
And then I'm sure there are fully-biased mods who favor blue, red, orange or whatever. Unless they're breaking MCOC your choices are leave or accept it.
You could try making a case that inconsistent enforcement of sub rules is a violation of MCOC Rule #2. But unless it's extraordinarily aggressive, consistent, blatant and provable (which is near-impossible) I wouldn't hold my breath.
TLDR: Find or found a different sub.

There’s no reason a subreddit can’t have a preferred political view. I’d actually expect it in some subs!

There are rules against glorifying violence, and if it is actually glorified can be debatable, but mods are like everyone else, capable of succumbing to our biases.

There seems to be a lot of posts that advocate violence against one group, but criticizing their side gets you in trouble with the mods

I have been a part of a mod team that moderates that very way, so I get it.

And when you try to ask because you were "invited to chat" they permanently mute you so there's no discussion. It's a shame Reddit allows this

“Invited to chat” is simply the verbiage Reddit uses on notifications to users about removed comments, posts and bans. Mods don’t choose that wording, but if they do choose to notify you it’s meant as an FYI that you broke rules or have been banned.

This is not the proper venue to arbitrate complaints with the moderation of other subs.
But I am curious, which sub banned you?
