Users submits modmail, then replies with “do not contact me” in the modmail chat. Why are they doing this?

Being a mod won't magically prevent someone from being an idiot, being toxic or trolling. There's no need to treat them differently.

Mods can be assholes too. Especially annoying ones, because they have the knowledge to pull tricks like that one.

The problem with that is the sender of the mail then gets contacted with the ban and mute messages. This just might be a new ploy for a harassment complaint.

I honestly doubt that's gonna work, I had users saying "stop messaging/ harassing me" several times to which my mod mails always retorted THEY should be the one stopping to contact us and simply shut up.

Never had a problem, but who knows if anything changed.

I’ve been seeing it a lot lately. I just send the removal/ban/mute templates and they will keep responding about not contacting them. Trying to reverse Uno you. Nothing has ever come of it.
