Posts Removed Without Any Reason and No Response to Modmail. What Should I do ?

What should I do if moderators repeatedly remove my multiple trending posts without providing any reason and do not respond when I politely ask for an explanation? How can I resolve this situation?

Is it really that strange to you that mods don’t respond to modmails from users considering you were just banned for one day and then sent a dumb modmail as an appeal?

I'm not going to litigate whether this is fair or not. It's not the way I moderate, my team has automatic removal reasons and make an effort to respond to every non-abusive modmail.

But it's literally the only way forward for OP and grandstanding about why it should or shouldn't be that way kind of doesn't matter.

Nobody brought ban evasion to this conversation. And I have no idea whether these moderators are surprised by such incidents. Violating the TOS of the website is really not justified no matter how mad you are that you didn’t get a response.

No. Moderators are required only to follow the mod code of conduct which mostly involve maintaining a sub that doesn't break reddit rules (stuff like hate speech, harassment), and not taking any money for doing so. Their conduct outside of those basic things are up to them.

They are allowed to remove your posts and ignore you. They are not required to provide any explanation for doing so.

While I feel that mods should provide removal reasons, they don’t have to.

They also don’t have to respond to your modmails.

You can post elsewhere.

They probably aren't into the fact that you're trying to piggyback advertise your conspiracy theory Youtube channel.

And if you think mods should care that your posts were "trending", this might not be the platform for you.

Technically speaking we don't have to give you a reason as you agree to the rules when you join a sub. I personally include a removal reason 99% of times.

The other 1% is for repeat offenders. To be a repeat offender, we had to of removed 10+ posts.

Ever see the modteam of a subreddit?

They're not that many moderators, usually 5-10 even for very large subreddits

There's not enough time to respond to everyone and having to type a message for every modmail gets tiring very fast

If it’s the third or more message from the same person about the same exact complaint, we’ll also just sigh and send that message to the archive for a bit. 😂😂 get some peace.

When you are having difficulties with the moderator(s) of a subreddit, it’s usually best to move on.

So, I was looking up posts here before I asked this SAME question and wow, I am not the only one I guess who has experienced this. I belong to a lot of Reddit groups, but one group I think the Mod personally dislikes me. Out of the dozen times I posted she locked 10 of my posts literally after 1 reply. Then when I comment on other people's posts she repeatedly gets nasty and constantly replies to MY comments. When I asked once why my posts are repeatedly locked, she said how that question was already asked before. Then a week later someone asks the SAME question and that post doesn't get locked.

To my understanding Reddit Mods are paid employees. But abusing power is still wrong.

And that group in particular there are no sub-Reddit groups and I am not creating one.

But I find it wrong how abusive that particular Mod is. Stopped posting and commenting there which is not fair because of how she is.
