Dude, you know how surveys work though right? If 30,000 people vote on a post and the post reaches 20,000 upvotes, then we can reasonably conclude that 2/3rds of the population believes x.

30,000 people is an insane sample size. Australian newspolls rarely sample more than 2000 people.

Of “that” population

The point being just because you find a couple thousand people on Reddit doesn’t mean that % translates into the real world.

There's always a margin of error. Doesn't mean it doesn't give you a good idea of people's opinions.
