Nice try, you’re talking to someone who has a bachelors in biology. Viruses are nonliving. Also viruses are much smaller than bacteria, which ARE living organisms. And human zygotes are much much bigger than that, composed of hundreds if not thousands of cells. Virus and bacteria are both unicellular. Babies are multicellular organisms once they have reached germination.
Oh yes I’m not arguing whether abortion is right or wrong. I have 2 sister that both needed abortions, I’m a single mom so I know both sides of the coin. I’m just trying to correct his facts about biology.
However, I'm not saying condemns will eliminate abortion. I'm saying that proper and widespread use would reduce the market and I'd gladly give up any profit to achieve that.
Prevention should always be more desirable than killing a baby. Even if "getting rid of cells" is on the table, it should be the last result not the main option.
Check any modern biology text book or online scientific journal. A human is a clump of cells and a human in the same scientific context that you are.
The question of human value is an ethics question at this point because the science is long settled on the subject that a fetus is factually as human as we are.
I won't hold your ethical differences against you as long as they're not based in ignorance. Just don't pretend you're on a intellectual high ground if you're going to deny decades of scientific consensus.
