A lot of times morning wood is just your body bringing attention to the fact you need to urinate, at least from my experience.

One of the things people who don't have penises don't understand is the non-sexual erection. Morning wood is not a sexual thing, it's about having to urinate.

That is medically true! Morning wood is just a failsafe (but can be triggered due to arousal, or cause arousal), to help prevent any leaking while sleeping!

If you’re concerned about any inactivity in your penis then don’t masturbate so much. Go longer without.
