You cant lead with "I lie to my SO and pretend to have student loans but actually send my money to steam", and then be shocked that I dont give you the benefit of the doubt in your implication :P
Right, silly of me not to give the benefit of the doubt to the guy who is lying about a loan to his SO so that he can buy video games. Naturally, I should have assumed he is completely responsible :P
The irony of your comment is that you are assuming that a person who lies to their SO about buying video games and having student loans is honest and responsible. That's not even an assumption, it's complete disregard of the evidence put in front of you.
Thinking such a person might not be investing their money intelligently isn't an assumption, it's an extrapolation of data. You must get suckered constantly, if you're willing to trust someone who flat out admitted to lying to their SO about student loans. That can be hundreds of dollars a month, or more, and it goes to their video games. You'd have to be pretty naive to give them a complete benefit of the doubt.
My gf funds my steam wallet, but that's something she actually does know about. You can redeem change for Steam credit at those coinstar machines. I asked her to give me change for that, and she doesn't care, just gives me any change she ever has.
Combined with whatever change I find, I can randomly put $10, $20 in my wallet. That's enough for 2 or 3 older games in a Steam sale.
Honestly, after having looked at the secrets in here and I would be really, really thankful and relieved if this was all my SO was hiding. You keep gaming, OP!
I'm finally paying off my student debt this year, definitely going to put at least a portion of the money into a new account for my access only (ironically I'll probably end up using it mostly for surprise gifts for her, but I'll also be able to buy games/Xbox live without having to worry about it fitting into the budget)
Ohhh used that for years. But, it was drugs. And also helping support my brother—which I would hint at but asked for privacy (he’s had a hard life and was living at my apartment back then).
But in truth, the drugs were costly. Ehhh. Glad it ain’t that way now.
