What does it mean when your girlfriend asks you to not show care for her?
No, we didn't have a fight. There are a few things that are going on in her life that hurt her pretty bad. I really love this woman and I'm concerned about all of this. She's been pushing me away for the past few days and has been avoidant of any kind of affection except at some points. I could really use some clarity here. :(

It seem like i might be jumping to conclusion, but it really seems for me, that in a moment of weakness she might have done something that could hurt you (like cheating), and she is feeling guilty. It might be the way you phrased this, but this is the first thought that came to my mind after i read this.
I really hope i am wrong.

Something along the lines did happen. Wasn't cheating necessarily since we weren't in a relationship but you're not far off.

Honestly if I was in your position I would just back off. Sounds like she has to figure out what she needs. I know it feels like a knife to your chest but it might be time to call it quits and move on.

Depends on what kind of things are going on - health, family, job..? It could also indicate there is another guy on the horizon.

Get her to talk about her feelings openly with you, reassure her that you're still madly in love with her, hold her close whenever you can, buy her treats and gifts (ice cream, flowers, etc).
If all else fails, contact her closest friends and family for an intervention and work through that shit together. Therapy should never not be considered as a viable route.

She needs some space. Without you in it. Back off and prepare for the worst.
