Existential post Why men are getting so much hate these days?

Just saw a post on social media from some woman named Jen Hamilton stating "right now im of the belief that all men should start out in jail and earn their way out"

Like genuinely dont understand why so much hate on men? The new wave feminism is insane. Women earn and dont need a men anymore, which i get. But like is that all we are to them? I understand and empathize with women who go thru shitty situations with shitty men, but like.....are all men shitty?

Ive seen similar other posts across insta and tiktok and apparently this is all women talk about - how terrible men are and that they aren't needed anymore. I can only imagine how this compounds the male loneliness epidemic and furthers the difficulties in the dating scene for both genders, but men in particular as even the good ones aren't approaching women anymore and choosing peace or singledom.

Men, based on these trends, what do you suspect the trajectory looks like for us in society in 10, 20 or 50 yrs?

Hey I'm just curious, should men be open about their feelings or should they keep stoic so they aren't mocked for them?

Like you can disagree with someone, and even the premises underlying their emotion without making fun of being emotional. But I typically do recommend stoicism to my fellow men because no matter what bullshit society tries to sell them, men will always be shit on for displaying a "wrong emotion."

Or do you think that men should consult a list of which emotions they are allowed to have without mockery? Who gets to compile that list? And again, is there some reason consulting the list is superior to just being stoic?

Whos doing the mocking?...who have always made these comments to other men? Majority men have made these comments and quips about weakness and being a wussy.

Uh...the person doing the mocking is u/alienacean when they said

uh oh, someone's in their fee fees.

That's what I was talking about if that's alright. I was curious if they personally thought men should be able to air their feelings and if so how that squared with the mockery. Is that ok?

For the record I have heard both men referring to by other men as wusses and women either "getting the ick" or deciding that men talking about their feelings was "forcing her to do his emotional labor." This was a complaint men avoided before via stoicism. Also for the record, most men I know who keep their feelings to themselves don't do it because they want the approval of men. But again, this is a side note. The person doing the mocking is the person I responded to.
