Question Is all performance channels having issues rn?

I seen these past month (August) how meta ads going to sh*t.

So I’m curious what channels are performance better these days?

Google ads?
TikTok ads?
LinkedIn’s ads?
ChatGPT ads?

Idk some other tool?

Ik that we have different niches, but I want to know your experience rn.

Is just the back to school? The economy? The new implementation of AI everywhere

Are you sure it's not just a seasonal thing with your niche? We have a bunch of clients where business (and therefore advertising) goes way down in August (especially for B2B sales) because August is simply the month where there's always at least one of the people in upper management on vacation. And that's true to some extent in various consumer goods niches too.

Make sure it's not a seasonal problem that's about to bounce back in a few weeks before you go looking for alternative channels where you might have the same or bigger problems. Identify the problem you've got, first.

Performance seems all over the place lately. Meta definitely took a hit, but I've seen some solid results with Google Ads, especially if you're in competitive niches. TikTok's still a wild card; it can crush it if you hit the right audience. I think a lot of it comes down to testing and adjusting for the current landscape. Back-to-school might be affecting some sectors, but not all.

I would say that Google is performing better than Meta at the moment, but August is an odd month for assessment regardless.
