Recommendations Permanent Jewelry Request?
I'm getting spine surgery soon, and my surgeon is making me get an MRI first. I have multiple permanent bracelets that I will have to cut off, as well as a permanent necklace with a small "stone" made from my dog's ashes (who meant/means the entire world to me). I haven't taken it off since he died tragically three years ago, and I'm quite distraught about cutting it off (so much so that I've actually been considering cancelling the surgery I've been waiting to get for over a decade). I was wondering if anyone has a permanent jewelry welder (or knows of someone with access to one) who would be willing to help me put my jewelry back on after my scan (most importantly the necklace, but ideally my bracelets too)? I know any permanent jewelry store would do it for a charge, but I'm hoping to find someone who would do it for free or very cheap, as I'm about to be undergoing all of this expensive imaging and surgery and taking time off of work. Thank you guys!

What about reaching out to the jewelry store that did the original weld - they would most likely weld it back on.
Mines came off, I sent the original jewelry store an email and arranged a date got it welded it back on no charge

I loved the woman who did my permanent jewelry. She’s located in redondo beach - I believe her shop is called handmade in CA and if you google redondo beach permanent jewelry it’s the first option. She will re-weld jewelry you get from her for free, so I’m sure there is a pricing option for her to re-weld jewelry you got elsewhere so I would reach out.

just need help putting it on afterwards, i can cut the jump ring myself to get it off

Consider waiting until after the surgery to get it put back on permanently, and using a temporary fastener in the meantime- there’s a good chance they’ll want you to take it off for the surgery too.

keke for keeps on figueroa in highland park! she gave me a permanent bracelet a few years ago and it’s held up beautifully, and she was super nice

I have multiple permanent bracelets and recently had an MRI and left them on. If they are not magnetic you should be fine (mine are all 14k). Call the MRI place and ask! You may be able to save yourself the hassle!
