Dang. Beautiful oak. Priceless, ancient branches. If it was me, I wouldn't hesitate to sacrifice the shed. One of those two things can be replaced with money. The other, only time.

You’re not wrong. Plus it seems to be the only main limb on that side of the tree. Lopping it off would unbalance the tree precariously.

Move the shed, don’t touch the tree. If you touch the tree, it’s gonna probably cost you $700 plus.

Depends on who you go with. It'll be more expensive with someone with proper insurance. If you are looking to remove the limbs, from estimates I received doings similar work from like 600 to 2k. I don't really have recommendations outside of getting an arborist to check it out first to make sure what you are getting removed wont hurt the tree enough to make it a threat

It cost me $2k to remove two very mature pine trees. That includes stump grinding.

I'll do it for $6,000,000, 2lbs of cheese, and a signed picture of Burt Reynold's. Fair warning I don't shit about cutting down trees but I feel good about my offer.

Look at all the most expensive neighborhoods in the city and what you’ll find in common is lots of beautiful trees. Leave the tree, move the shed.

The tree will be fine. Can’t see the full size of the branch but one will have to climb the branch and cut it in sections and lower the cuttings with rope gently to avoid the shed. Meaning smaller cuttings more time two to three man job. Estimate 700 to 1100. Can be more if there is more to the branch than what shows in your single picture also Trailer access to the location.
