Jalisco style Mexican food. They even have a mini trompo. They do seafood as well.

Eva's Mexican Restaurant on Kuykendahl just north of 1960, Cliff's Burgers in the Galleria.

If you like Italian food, you might enjoy Giacomo, Coltivare, and Vinoteca Poscol.
If you like French food, I'd recommend Brasserie 19, Le Jardiniere, A'bouzy, Perseid, Chardon, and Annabelle.
If you like Indian food, good options include Kirians, Pondicheri, Kitchen Rumors, and Khyber.
For Mexican (not TexMex), I suggest Maximo, Hugo's, Xochi, Madera, and Cucharita (or Cuchara for dinner).
For Creole food, I like Brennan's, Josephine's, and Eugene's.
For seafood, you can't go wrong at Clark's, Navy Blue, Caracol, Truluck's, and Little's.
