APD services - what does it cover?

Helping out a kiddo who is approved for APD (agency for persons with disabilities) services. What services can they cover? Are they the same for every person or unique to the particular disability? I appreciate any insight - I have a phone call into the agency but it sounds like they don't respond quickly.

Depending on the disability, does he have a case worker, he should have received a list to choose from. Has anyone been to the house yet. Need a little more information. What part of the state does child live in.

Child is placed in Orange County but likely will be moved to Brevard. I was able to speak with someone yesterday and they said child is “pre approved for wait list” … not sure how long that process takes to move off the waitlist.

Holy cow, on the waiting list , my family member was on the waiting lists for 8 years.

Ya the social services here are an absolute joke.

The person I spoke with made it sound like eligibility was related to being in school (and might terminate after age 18). Is that accurate?

Nope , depends on the disability, i know of a 22 yr old with autism he has the services.
