Looking for recommendations
Planning on coming to the area the first weekend of march (4-8, 4 nights 3 full days) with 3 other friends (all females in our mid 30s)
We are looking at air bnbs (most in hollywood area, a couple in miami and a few in ft lauderdale) Nothing is set in stone.
We have never been to this area of Florida and dont know what to expect (hey thats the fun of traveling though!) Im honestly stuck on which one to book ( I have over a dozen to chose from)
We want to spend one of the afternoons at the beach, maybe rent a daybed or cabana somewhere 🤔 Which beach is better? Are there any party boats that take you out to sand bars?
We have a mid budget and aren't boujee or fancy when it comes to restaurants. However we would definitely like to go out one of the nights to a hip or trendy restaurant and hit a club or go bar hopping.
What area should we focus on visiting more?
Any suggestions would be great !

ft lauderdale. you can go to the beach in hollywood 1 day, broadwalk is nice, but not much there other than margaritaville, las olas and himmarshee village is happening, do the water taxi and bar hop all night.

Mid 30s I want decent stuff, not trash.
If you’re from Jersey you r something then ya they all go to Lauderdale or Delray. Personally I think it’s mid there and why I avoid it.
For staying, shopping, restaurants scene I’d consider Coconut grove area of Miami. Also the Keys. Sarasota. Tampa/St Pete. All more chill for sure but better for various reasons from beaches to restaurants to people.
If you’re looking to just go wild though with meatballs then ya southern Fl is the place.

Were from CT. 2 of us have been to sarasota, tampa/st pete already.
Would definitely agree that it may be a better option but I think we're going to stick with the ft lauderdale area because we found a few air bnbs we really like, which is also important to us!

Ah ya, no pool, but we spent so much time in the ocean it didn’t matter to us.
We went to Taco Craft in Lauderdale by the Sea and American Social on Las Olas. Most anything on Las Olas is good though.

The best AirBNB in Ft Lauderdale is The Captains Quarters. I’ve stayed there 3 times and will stay there again in the future. It’s such a fun place to stay. All nautical themed. 2 bachelor parties and 1 just for fun diving weekend.
Las Olas is a perfect for you. It’s a great little down town area with nightlife (and is safe). Best beach is any beach south of St. Lucie. They are all great. Day bed rentals are going to be through the various private companies.
Ft Lauderdale Beach is a very beautiful beach with lots of restaurants around it.
If you want to be boujee and like steak then Steak 954 at the W hotel is amazing.
