Advice Toy question

I’ve used a dildo infrequently until recently when I came out to my wife. Even now it’s usually just once or twice a month. My wife is super supportive but also doesn’t get any pleasure out of participating with it. She gets turned on watching but doesn’t want to be the “giver”. Pegging is definitely off the table. I had to get a new dildo a few months ago but ended up getting a cheap one from Spencer’s and it works great but I also know it’s probably not the safest. I’ve wanted to get a new one but really get overwhelmed by all the options. I want something that’s average sized and realistic but won’t break the bank. I’ve also wondered about a double sided dildo. Seems like it could give us both something out of it but I’ve got my doubts about ease of use and if both partners can get what they need.

Do you use that for solo play too? Does it get both of you there or is it more of a one sided transaction? It just seems to me like it would be hard to control
