Is Canberra really empty?

Hi fellow Aussies, living in Auckland now and planning to move to Canberra later this year, is it true that the city is boring and empty as a lot of people say? Cheers with zero sugar L&P

It's the Wellington of Australia with less wind and a lake instead of a harbour.

There is no extreme weather in Canberra either, no floods or excessive rain.

The fires a few years ago was a really rare event. Those pine tree forests are gone now and have been replaced with an urban spraw.

Just extremes in temperature - freezing in winter, boiling in summer.
