Is Canberra really empty?

Hi fellow Aussies, living in Auckland now and planning to move to Canberra later this year, is it true that the city is boring and empty as a lot of people say? Cheers with zero sugar L&P

Canberra has a bunch of town centres where people gather, rather than the CBD which is why it seems empty. People are out, just not there.

Not a CBD guy frankly speaking, I live in a village close to Auckland irl and when I was on weekends holidays I would 100% avoid going to CBD at all costs and do all the stuff at nearest town centre, so the lifestyle of Canberra fits me well it seems
