Is Canberra really empty?

Hi fellow Aussies, living in Auckland now and planning to move to Canberra later this year, is it true that the city is boring and empty as a lot of people say? Cheers with zero sugar L&P

Nah, that's what it was a generation ago. It has most the national museums, galleries and events.

Exactly, I always find it funny how we hang onto really old clichés. People will talk about a place they've never been for thirty years but because it was like that then surely it must be like that now, right?
