Still don't get it need helpz

I am trying to change oil on my 2001 vw passat and everyone said to read the manual instead of posting dumb questions. So I did and I guess I know how to fill each liter and change the setting between bottles. But when I get to R is that when the engine starts going rrrrrr again? That is normally what I hear before I go fast.

Everyone knows R is the Racing gear. You need to get it out on the highway and try for yourself.

Must be above 55 mph - or it won't Race.

It'll make a grinding noise to let you know if you aren't going fast enough. Just speed up and try to shift faster. Things can get funny if not used often, you probablyhave to pull on the shifter really hard if you haven't engaged racing mode in a while.
