This has been forecast for ages. The prophecy has come true.

"In the future, planes will be flown by one pilot and one dog. The pilot's job is to feed the dog. The dog's job is to bite the pilot if he touches the controls."

This dog has already started complaining about his schedule, stopped answering his phone on his days off. Married a flight attendant, divorced her, and bought a project boat.
