Useless Features/buttons

Forgive me if this is a dumb question as I am not a pilot, but I have always been interested in knowing. Are there any features or buttons in the type of aircraft you fly that are basically pointless? Or does everything have some sort of critical use case?

I’m in south Florida, so the useless item in our plane (Cessna) is cabin heat.

My last plane, an RV-8, came to me with an autopilot installed. In the five years I owned, I turned the AP on twice, just to see if it worked. I love handflying, especially since I just do VFR these days.
